Hark Triton, hark! Bellow, bid our father the Sea King rise from the depths full foul in his fury! Black waves teeming with salt foam to smother this young mouth with pungent slime, to choke ye, engorging your organs til' ye turn blue and bloated with bilge and brine and can scream no more - only when he, crowned in cockle shells with slitherin' tentacle tail and steaming beard take up his fell be-finned arm, his coral-tine trident screeches banshee-like in the tempest and plunges right through yer gullet, bursting ye - a bulging bladder no more, but a blasted bloody film now and nothing for the harpies and the souls of dead sailors to peck and claw and feed upon only to be lapped up and swallowed by the infinite waters of the Dread Emperor himself - forgotten to any man, to any time, forgotten to any god or devil, forgotten even to the sea, for any stuff for part of Winslow, even any scantling of your soul is Winslow no more, but is now itself the sea!

Today, we are using the Taiwan Tour Bus to go to a stunning town up in the mountain called Jioufeng.
2016-2017 Episode 17 Taipei Cultural Antiquities Walking Tour (2)
Transcript
Jioufeng use to be a small gathering area for the people of Rueifang. In 1893 at least 3000 to 4000 people gathered here once gold was found in this area.
There is a total of 10 tunnels dugout during the gold rush. Each 100 meters apart. This is the 9th tunnel called TaiYang Ninth Tunnel.
This village created by the gold rush was very prosperous but now these abandoned tunnels are all restricted areas, tourist can only take pictures outside and wonder what it was like during the rush.
No golden dream for me, but we can have some “golden balls”. This is actually the well-known snack in Jioufeng, its called taro balls. The yellow one is sweet potatoes flavor. Hmm, its sweet and chewy.
Jioufeng is a destination that all visitor stop by when travelling Taiwan.
It’s very nice area,It’s full of culture
We will try some different stuff,it’s traditional stuff, really nice
Yap, It’s good
Other than tasting all the wonderful snacks, exploring through the lanes and alleys is an exciting way to see the beauty of this town.
You won’t get lost here because there are only 3 main roads. The Jishan street and Qingbian Road are parallel to each other while the well-known Shuqi Road cross these two roads.
Walking down Shuqi road you will pass by an area vintage area, soon it will feel like you are following the footsteps into the 40’s and 50’s.
After the mining declined Jioufeng became a dead town until the movie “A City of Sadness” brought it back to life.
“A City of Sadess” is directed by Hsiao-Hsien Hou and this movie lead him to win the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival. This movie gave Jioufeng its tourism drive and set this silence town back to prosperity.
Adventure junkies can come walk through the Penetrating house alleys. Just remember one thing, keep moving forward.
Oh! It is so dark in here!
The houses in Jiufen were all built on the hills. There are many small alleys connected to the main streets to save time for the residents to walk from one street to another. This becomes an interesting artistic architecture.
There is a flight of stairs in front, what should I do? That’s right! Don’t hesistate, just keep going!
The mysteries of Jioufeng has attracted a lot of artists to settle here. They live in their privacy among the alleys. You might just bump into one.
Do you know the material this artist uses?
It’s asphalt.
Mr. Chiu, Can you Show for us?
好的
OK!
This national treasure maestro is Xuxun Chiu. His creation of asphalt painting is internationally collected,U.S.A President Clinton, and Pope Saint John Paul were both collectors.
This is me, do we look alike?
After dusk, the lights come up and the light shine like diamonds in the sky. It is definitely worth a visit.

Yes, this is a cover! It may seem a little out of the blue for a lot of ya'll but fun fact - my channel actually started out with covers! They've since been set to private so you'll have no luck finding them, but music has always been such a big part of my life. Making music and singing throughout my upper sec days was pretty much the most effective (and at times, the only) way to cope with my anxiety, because it forces me to breathe.
I knowwwww, can't tell right? It goes to show how much more we need to be open and comfortable with mental health and self-care!
I'll pick this up in another video, but I'm at the point in my life where I have accepted that, like everyone else, my brain is wired a certain way, and have grown comfortable enough in my own skin to be able to acknowledge, address and manage it. It took a while, but I'm very proud to say that I'm doing the best I ever have, and I've never felt this calm, confident and happy for so long in my entire life.
I've always, always wanted to address "touchy" issues like mental health (amongst others), but the stigma and the pity and whatever else comes along with revealing our vulnerabilities has always made me think twice. Also, ngl, I've been busy and prioritising other (i.e. the more fun) videos. But it's 2018 and I'm way past my teenage insecurities. I have many important things I want to share and discuss with you guys, so that's exactly what I'm going to do! I don't know how often I will be able to make these videos considering I usually can only afford to make one per week, but do you remember the think tank videos we've discussed about before (I think it was one of the GRWMs)? I've had topics and talking points all planned out over 2017, but never actually got around to them. It's happening this year. (Let me know if you guys have anything on your minds you'd like to talk about in the comments below btw!)
Anyway, what prompted my decision was this - since my return, I've been feeling very suffocated by my possessions. Moving back with all of my things from New York into my already overflowing room (because I also moved back from staying on campus before I left) was just too much. I started feeling my anxiety creep back every time I look at my piles of stuff, so I've taken the time to clean, pack, declutter and reinvent my entire room for a fresh start. It. Felt. AWESOME. My room has always been my sanctuary + bubble + fun workspace and I'm so happy that it's not only restored, but improved and streamlined into an organised conglomerate of my favourite things. It's also led to the revival of my past hobbies, like knitting, music, painting etc. I feel so energised and inspired now! This incited an insatiable itch to pick everything back up and just do them for the heck of it. I don't care so much if they're productive, or "useful" or not, because time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time.
Till next time, keep that heart full ya'll xoxoxoxoxoxoxoluvuforeva
