Bernard Cornwell，英國的歷史戰爭小說暢銷作家。寫小說寫到拿OBE勳銜。
他的書似乎很少有推出過中文譯本？
《冰與火之歌》(《權力遊戲》原作)的作者George R. R. Martin也是他的書迷，盛讚他寫的戰爭場面。
之前我一直都在大力推薦的Netflix劇集《The Last Kingdom》，就是他的作品改編的。
這個「Saxon Tales」長篇系列，原來剛剛在今年十月出版了第13本大結局《The War Lord》。
劇集能否把故事拍完很難說，但至少我知道可以把主角Uhtred的命運讀完了。
七十六歲，仍有這樣的寫作魄力，真是令人佩服。
還有，跟很多有名作家一樣，Cornwell也是記者出身的。
照片很有型。當然不是他平時的造型啦，而是2018年在《The Last Kingdom》裡面客串一個小角色時的模樣。
