🌻暫定台灣時間本周日(06/06)早上10點做年報導讀. 美國這邊的朋友也歡迎(美東時間周六晚上10點, 美西時間晚上7點). 會以Zoom進行(抱歉我不會露臉😅). 周四會將細節公布.

🌻Shopify(SHOP)財報
抽空看了一下SHOP的財報.

兩個印象較深的點是:
1. 高層稱他們為commerce operating system(電商的作業系統)(這其實高層提過好幾季了, 不過之前沒注意到. 之前高層用的字眼是retail operating system). 這讓我想到微軟也是做operating system.
2. 他們是把企業用戶(enterprise)等級的設施給中小型電商來使用: "the company’s platform offers security, scalability, and reliability that is normally only available to businesses with enterprise-level budgets (from一位分析師)"

兩個需要注意的地方是:

1. 今年還是會很積極地做投資&擴展, 這或許會對利潤造成壓力:
"........and plan to reinvest back into our business as aggressively as we can with a year-over-year growth in operating expenses accelerating each quarter throughout the rest of the year."

"As such, we expect full year 2021 adjusted operating income to be below the level we achieved in 2020."

2. 高層異動很大(可參考這篇新聞: https://ec.ltn.com.tw/article/breakingnews/3500525).
分析師已經連續兩季問高層公司文化方面的問題了. 公司在年報中也有說過, 高層的異動會是影響公司營運的風險之一. 不過實際上會如何還是需要持續觀察. 供參. (有附上年報中關於這點的截圖)

Why war happened and is still happening. Why do people fight. I asked Josh a few days back.. If he thinks bad like real bad stuff happened becox of one person who made a fked-up decision, or it's a collective effort from a group of people who sits down and NONE in the group wanna be the one who stands up and voice out.. "what if there's another way to do things", "what if we don't need to fight this fight", "what if we live and let live".

Josh say it's one person. I say how can it be. I feel it's always yah okay, one person seeds the idea with someone and someone seeds it with someone else and then it becomes a group who decides, OKAY LET BLOW THINGS UP LET'S BRING THIS SHIT DOWN. Everything amazing was also typically created by a team. Right? So it has to be a group of people.

He say he feel it's one person, it's the one up there ☝🏻

I think otherwise cox i believe god is good. But then i remember.. He/ she cannot control free will.

This explains why bad things like child/ animal abuse can happen right. Why god allow bad things to happen to totally innocent beings? Becox he/ she cannot control free-will.

So if you think what's in your head isn't important, think again. There's so much damage you can do being here, being alive. So much. And for the fact that you are not doing bad things that hurt or harm people, i think we are amazing. I think you are amazing.

If you have to be that one person who shows up and say, "maybe there's another way to do things", "maybe we don't have to fight this fight", "maybe we can live and let live", show up ❤️ Becox your free-will maybe that difference to what god cannot control of others.

"Over the Rainbow" is a ballad composed by Harold Arlen with lyrics by Yip Harburg. It was written for the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz and was sung by actress Judy Garland in her starring role as Dorothy Gale. It won the Academy Award for Best Original Song and became Garland's signature song.

This is a spontaneous jazzy version of the classics.

Harajuku is the home of alternative, kawaii fashion in Tokyo. All the places I visited are along Takeshita Street, which is the main shopping street, or in side roads off it. They're all quite easy to find - rainbow snacks don't blend into the background! We tried half-metre-long tornado potatoes and rainbow cheese toast at Rainbow Sweets Harajuku, and spotted lots more: rainbow candy floss at Totti Candy Factory, lightbulb soda, poop ice cream, cute animal gelato, rainbow roll ice cream and Harajuku's traditional treats: delicious crepes! At the end of the video there's my theory about why there are so many cute snacks now, and what it tells us about how things are changing.
