自由時報的報導，武漢肺炎疫情肆虐，全球航空旅遊需求下降，航空業面臨現金不足的慘況，多家企業採取裁員、減薪等方式節省支出，但仍撐不過危機，綜合媒體報導，全球已有22家航空公司聲請破產或倒閉，名單如下：
1、英國弗萊比航空公司（Flybe）
歐洲最大的地區航空公司
2020年3月5日停止營運。
2、維珍澳洲航空 （Virgin Australia Airlines）
澳洲第二大航空公司
2020年4月21日步入自願接管程序。
3、南非航空 （South African Airways）
南非最大的國際航空公司
2020年5月進入清算。
4、哥倫比亞航空（Avianca）
哥倫比亞第一大航空公司及南美洲第二大航空公司，亦是全球歷史第二悠久的航空公司
2020年5月10日聲請破產。
5、土耳其大陸噴氣航空（Atlasglobal）
2020年2月12日停止營運。
6、美國跨洲航空（Trans States Airlines，暫譯）
2020年4月1日停止營運。
7、印度德幹航空（Air Deccan）
2020年4月5日停止營運。
8、美國指南針航空（Compass Airlines）
2020年4月5日停止營運。
9、義大利厄內斯特航空（Ernest Airlines）
2020年4月5日停止營運。
10、瑞典布拉森支線航空（Braathens Regional Airways）
2020年4月6日停止營運。
11、義大利航空（Air Italy）
2020年4月16日停止營運。

根據自由時報的報導，因為新冠肺炎的緣故，在六月底之前已經有多達22家的航空公司宣布破產或是倒閉。
隨著疫情不斷擴大，相信這個數量會繼續向上攀升，最先倒閉的通常都是一些本來體質就不好的航空公司，但依照現在全世界的現況，體質再好的航空公司，沒有足夠的現金流到底還能撐到什麼時候呢？
