The 4th album 「anima」 will be released a year and a half after the release of the previous album 「私的旅行」[Private Trip]!! Digital subscription pre-release is set on Wednesday, June 24, 2020. Later in July 29th the limited/regular edition will be released on CD.

🦋 New artist photos have also been released!

This is the first original album in about a year and a half, and it is a joint production between DAOKO herself and Akito Katayose (GREAT3) who was the sound producer of the first major album 「DAOKO」.

The wide diversity of music is woven by track makers and musicians who DAOKO respects and loves, with songs she composed by herself. In all of the 12 tracks of this album of wide musicality range, you can feel the arrival of a new phase even though she is returning to her roots of fusing with an intermediary rap style.

The first limited edition of this album contains the live footage of DAOKO's Tokyo – Nagoya - Osaka 「2 0 2 0 Otogi no Mitoshi Tour」 held at the Ebisu Liquid Room in February this year. It's a must-buy for fans.

Also along with the announcement of the album is the release of DAOKO's new artist photo which was exhibited at Ebisu KATA in 2019 jointly with Baba Shinkai who photographed it.

The landmark Tokyo Tower lit up with messages from April 27 to May 2 to express gratitude to medical staff working to protect the nation from the novel coronavirus.

On Monday evening, Tokyo Tower displays heartwarming messages to the heroes that are safeguarding the health and safety of all citizens, including doctors, nurses, healthcare workers and many other contributors on the frontline. The giant message “ARIGATO”, which means thank you in Japanese, will run from 7:00 pm to 12:00 am on Monday, and will light-up from sunset until midnight since the second day.

The “thank you from the tower”(#タワーからARIGATO) blue light-up campaign is initiated by All-Japan Tower Association. As all towers and observation deck are temporarily closed from April 8 after Japan declared the state of emergency, the association would like to make use of its light-up system and SNS power to show its support and respect to the medical staff. A total of twenty towers nationwide participated in this campaign, including Sapporo TV Tower, Chiba Port Tower, Kyoto Tower, Fukuoka Tower and Beppu Tower etc. In addition to members of the association, nine famous towers such as Nagoya TV Tower and Yokohama Marin Tower also took part in this meaningful event.

Andaz Snow-Aged雪室熟成牛及魚子醬餐廳

上次跟大家說話Andaz作為Hyatt Group旗下主推「個人風格」的奢華精品酒店，坐落於東京巿中心虎丿門的Andaz Tokyo，除了房間景觀無敵之外，餐飲同樣非常之高質。其中主推為其餐廳The Tavern，特別提供現在經已很少人認識的「雪室熟成」牛扒。


The Tavern - Grill & Lounge 雪室熟成牛
大家對於濕式熟成、乾式熟成絕對不會陌生，但在日本，從前有一種熟成方法叫作「雪室熟成」，是現今屬於半失傳的熟成方式。根據米芝蓮指南，「雪室利用覆蓋著白雪的傳統雪屋，以天然方式保存和熟成食物。無論戶外天氣狀況如何，熟成過程維持穩定的溫度，大約攝氏0至5度左右，這個完全不受外部影響的狀態稱為「靜置」（seichi），可保存超過 90% 的濕度。因此，雪室熟成的食物一般口感較脆，味道較甜」。The Tavern提供雪室熟成的國產牛，先跟大家分享在新潟雪室熟成的北海道產Chateaubriand F1 320 g，入口非常濕潤和甘甜，跟我們平常吃日本和牛般完全不同，平時油份都很重，吃太多會有膩膩的感覺，反而這個牛吃下去完全不膩，反而有點像吃Roast Beef，肉質多汁而偏實偏瘦而肉味也較淡，怕肥的女士不妨一試。至於之後再試的為T-bone，Sirloin和Tenderloin兩者我都很喜歡，油脂比剛才第一款較多，適合我們這種喜歡重口味的食客，無論油份甜味到肉質口感，這一道比剛才的更要濃味一點，若是多人進餐不妨兩款都點來比較一下。

除了雪室熟成牛，Benedict還想跟大家推薦他們家的Seafood Tower，小的份量已夠2-3人用，而魚子醬更是必試菜式，意大利跟俄羅斯我試得不少，日本的就真的沒有，味道鹹鮮但沒有濃烈魚腥味，所以非常適合喜歡淡淡魚子清香的食客。而且餐廳非常講究傳統，使用Mother of Pearl的匙羹，以免污染魚子的完整度和味道。

Rooftop Bar
在我決定入住Andaz之後，曾經有朋友剛好問我在東京通常會去那一間Hotel Bar，我二話不說便跟他推介Andaz的Rooftop Bar，因為若然你不是下塌這家酒店，最舒適欣賞東京夜景的方法我絕對會說是靠在這裡的Sofa，邊喝著Sake，邊望著淡藍色燈火的東京百萬夜景。在冬天也不用怕大風寒冷因為他們有電熱氈供應，而他們在春季時更加有一些關於櫻花的裝設，非常Instagrammable。

You all really seemed to love the portrait series and so I posted a poll on Instagram to see if you'd all be interested in a street photography episode around Tokyo tower! And you were all keen on it, so I had to make this video.
It's a longer video but I walked 360 all around the tower (2 station worth of distance in every direction) to explore as much ground as possible.
