Shariah Mind and Humanitarian Work
The jurisprudence (fiqh) of humanitarian seems to be lost in the technical and heavy loaded juristic discussion amongst the scholars and jurists for many decades.
In my book "Shariah is Life: Humanising and Internalising the Shariah (2018)", I touched briefly on a few dimensions of fiqh or Islamic jurisprudence which are absent or at least on the peripheral of other common judicial subjects. Unfortunately, some of these new subjects have become THE subject of the TIME but they were not seen and heard in the narrative of contemporary Muslim scholars. Not even close.
I will have an opportunity to start researching on this subject from the Quranic and Sunnah guidance, views of the scholars in the past, the interaction between humanitarian issue with Islamic social finance and to a large extent, the hard data of humanitarian crises and solutions.
I have been speaking on so many topis and platforms around the globe for the last decades, but to speak on humanitarian theme and on humanitarian platform is second to none in terms of passion and conviction. In fact, in my forthcoming book on Maqasid Shariah, humanity is one of 30 maqasid Shariah that I have discovered and articulated.
Islam is all about humanity (in worldly affairs) and about Divinity (in unseen world).
