🤗 Cancer Tips 3 🤗
KEEP CALM.
And YOU CAN DO IT! I believe in you!
👩🎤 You were healthy. Everything seems good. And suddenly, the cancer diagnosis. Doctor suggested surgery to remove the tumors but you're all worried.
You're worried...
Because you're afraid of the needles..
Because you don't want to be "slaughtered" alive..
You watched too many movies that people don't make it out alive from the operating theatre..
You're afraid of the pain..
You don't want to lose any organs because it will only means you're imperfect..
But do you know, delaying the only option (surgery) only mean....
You're allowing the tumor a chance to rupture..
You're allowing the cancer cell to spread further..
You're risking your life..
You're risking losing quality time to spend with your family...
You will also risk imsomnia because you're too worried about the whole thing.. To do or not to do?
If you listened to doctor's advice, what will that mean?
You gave the doctor a chance to save your life..
You gave yourself a second chance to live in this world..
You buy yourself more time to spend with your love ones..
Second chance in life are happier, wiser and more meaningful because second chance makes you see the world much better. You don't take things for granted and nasty people don't even bother you because they don't even matter to you!
During the surgery, will you feel any pain?
Answer: NO, not at all and u won't even rmber what happened inside. (They cut me open 24cm in length just to remove the tumor, I swear I don't feel a shit. I only rmber counting numbers and there I go, sleeping beauty 😜)
Note: To help a cancer patient, please do not suggest any traditional treatment. Treating cancer have no short cuts, please seek help from the hospital. Do not confuse the patient.
NOW SHARE (especially to those who are still hesitant to go for surgery or not)

【Evolution of Cancer Care: From Traditional to Personalized to Precise】
Charles B. Brendler, M.D.
NorthShore University HealthSystem, U.S.A.
Cancer care has rapidly evolved from a traditional “one size fits all” approach to an era of precision medicine that is individualized and genomic-based. Over the past decade, our institution has embraced this change, moving first from a model of traditional, physician-directed cancer care to one of “personalized” care that is multidisciplinary, integrated, and involves our patients in the decision-making process. In now transitioning from personalized to precision (genomic-based) cancer care, our approach differs from that of most institutions which focuses on tumor (somatic) DNA alterations in cancer patients; while important, this approach benefits only those patients already diagnosed with cancer and is most often directed at those with late stage disease with the goals of palliating and prolonging life. In contrast, we have focused primarily on hereditary (genomic) DNA profiles in order to optimize cancer care across the entire spectrum of disease, using genetic risk assessment to individualize cancer screening, prevention, and diagnostic strategies. With this approach, our goal is to target care at those at increased risk of both developing and dying of cancer, thereby reducing cancer deaths and decreasing over-diagnosis and unnecessary treatment.
