Reviving smile to chidren behind cloud Derivation of name "Omkoi" was came from ancient LUA or Lava language which means upstream from a top of mountain or river source presumably referring to Maetuen upstream that flows through Omkoi community. Far away from the Omkoi central district are small villages scattered along the valley. The populations of the villages are Hill Tribe people who are poor and live a simple livelihood close to nature. Omkoi is surrounded by mountains whereby backcountry, peaceful in a pretty solitary life.
A Thai Hill Tribe community learning center "Mae Fah Luang" That was founded to provide educational opportunities for improving lives and well-being to the Hill tribe children, including adults who lack of Thai educational opportunities. Their children are living in the way of tribes that live their lives in forest, beautiful nature and fresh air. However, education opportunity is another way to refine and modify behavior of children for better learning, good health including good spirit and kindness to each other.
