Cô Ba Sài Gòn (2017) là một bộ phim của đạo diễn Trần Bửu Lộc và Nguyễn Lê Phương Khanh, do Ngô Thanh Vân và Thuỷ Nguyễn đồng sản xuất. Bộ phim ra mắt khán giả quốc tế tại Liên hoan phim quốc tế Busan 22 vào ngày 14 tháng Mười 2017 ở Hàn Quốc. Lấy bối cảnh Sài Gòn những năm 1960, Cô Ba Sài Gòn kể câu chuyện về người thợ may áo dài nổi danh Thanh Mai (do Ngô Thanh Vân thủ vai) và cô con gái kiêu ngạo Như Ý (Ninh Dương Lan Ngọc). Thanh Mai may cho Như Ý một bộ áo dài đặc biệt, trên ngực đính miếng ngọc bội gia truyền. Như Ý, vốn không thích áo dài, trong một cơn vùng vằng đã làm vỡ miếng ngọc và xuyên không đi tới tương lai, nơi cô sớm nhận ra giá trị của văn hoá truyền thống.

Ngoài việc tham gia dưới vai trò sản xuất, Thuỷ cũng thiết kế toàn bộ phục trang cho bộ phim. Nhân dịp ra mắt Cô Ba Sài Gòn, Thuy Design House đồng thời giới thiệu mẫu áo dài cùng tên, lấy cảm hứng không chỉ từ những hoạ tiết, hình khối xuất hiện trên gạch bông (ở chính căn nhà của Thuỷ cũng như những ngôi nhà cổ ở Sài Gòn), mà còn từ thời trang những năm 1960 (các thiết kế này có thể thấy trên những chiếc áo khoác ngắn bomber và bộ váy trong phòng ‘Phố phố Phường phường’)

‘I wanted to make a film that could reach out to the people of Vietnam, as well as Vietnamese people living overseas, and those people who know and/or love Vietnam. I wanted to communicate the story of the áo dài to the youth, to people who do not really know about its history and its beauty’.

Cô Ba Sài Gòn (The Tailor) is a 2017 film directed by Trần Bửu Lộc and Nguyễn Lê Phương Khanh, and produced by Ngô Thanh Vân and Thủy Nguyễn. The movie was internationally released at the 22nd Busan International Film Festival on October 14, 2017 in Korea. Set in Saigon in the 1960s, Cô Ba Sài Gòn tells the story of a famed áo dài tailor, Thanh Mai (played by Ngô Thanh Vân) and her cavalier daughter Như Ý (Ninh Dương Lan Ngọc). In the film, Thanh Mai creates this ao dai for Như Ý, with the family jade embroidered into its front. Như Ý, who does not like wearing ao dai, throws this garment aside, accidentally breaking the family jade and is suddenly thrown into the future, where she soon learns the value of appreciating this cultural tradition.
As well as being a producer on the movie, Thủy Nguyễn designed the costumes. Coinciding with the release of the film, Thuy Design House showcased in November that year its áo dài collection, also named Cô Ba Sài Gòn, taking inspiration from her family home in Saigon and the geometric elements of its vintage tiles and mosaics, as well as from 1960s-inspired dresses (see the Bomber Jackets on display nearby and the dresses in ‘Architecture of Memory’ upstairs)

สิ่งที่คุณเห็นในกรอบรูปนี้ คือเส้นผมของผมเองครับ...
ก่อนอื่นย้อนไปปีที่แล้ว เรื่องมีอยู่ว่าครั้งล่าสุดที่ตัดผม
ผมคิดว่าน่าเสียดายที่ไว้ผมมาตั้งยาว ตัดแล้วจะโยนทิ้งไปเลยเหรอ?
จึงได้ไอเดียว่า เอาเส้นผมที่ถูกตัด มาทำเป็นงานศิลปะที่มีชิ้นเดียวบนโลกดีกว่า เพื่อเป็นสัญลักษณ์เตือนใจว่า
"อย่ายึดติดกับสิ่งใด ในโลกไม่มีอะไรเป็นของเรา"
(ตามคำที่เห็นในกรอบรูปเลย)
ลองมองเส้นผมที่หลุดร่วงแล้วคิดดูว่า
แม้แต่สิ่งที่งอกออกมาจากตัวเรา
เรายังต้องสูญเสียมันไปนับครั้งไม่ถ้วนในชีวิต
นับประสาอะไรกับวัตถุ ชื่อเสียง เงินทอง หรือคนรัก
ที่เรายึดติดกันนักหนา และปรารถนาจะให้อยู่กับเราตลอดไป...

อีกหนึ่งคติเตือนใจคือ อยากให้คนที่เห็นภาพนี้ตระหนักว่า
"ทุกสิ่งมีคุณค่าเสมอ อยู่ที่เราจะมองเห็นและหามันเจอหรือเปล่า
ก็เท่านั้นเอง"
อุจจาระคือปุ๋ยที่ดีที่สุด ขยะก็นำมา recycle ได้ ความตายก็ทับถมกลายเป็นน้ำมัน
เส้นผมก็เช่นกัน แม้จะถูกตัดร่วงสู่พื้นจนดูเหมือนไร้ค่า
แต่เมื่อถูกนำมาประดิษฐ์อย่างมีปัญญา
ก็อาจทำให้หลายคนกลับมาเห็นคุณค่าของเวลา ความสุข
และสัจธรรมได้เช่นกัน

งานศิลปะชิ้นนี้ทำขึ้นโดยน้องฟราน Ɲoetta น้องรักผู้เป็นอัจฉริยะรอบด้าน เขาคือคนที่วาดรูปทั้งหมดในหนังสือ "อัศวินอุตุ"
จนเราคว้ารางวัลมาร่วมกัน
และเขาคือศิลปินที่ผมไว้ใจและทำงานด้วยอยู่เสมอ
งานศิลปะชิ้นนี้ ผู้ที่ชนะการประมูลคือ คุณหมอกี้ Jiraporn Aungaree ผู้ใจดีมอบเงินบริจาคมาถึง 9,999 บาท
และยังมีแฟนๆอีกหลายคนที่ร่วมบริจาคจนเรารวมเงินได้
เกือบ 7 หมื่นบาท ขออนุโมทนากับทุกคนมา ณ ที่นี้ด้วยนะครับ

เงินน้ันครึ่งนึงเรามอบให้น้องฟรานผู้สร้างผลงาน และอีกครึ่งนึงให้กับ
"มูลนิธิชีวามิตร" ของ "คุณหญิงจำนงศรี หาญเจนลักษณ์"
มูลนิธินี้คอยช่วยเหลือดูแลผู้ป่วยระยะท้าย
ให้จากไปอย่างทุกข์ทรมานน้อยที่สุด และด้วยความสงบสุขมากที่สุด

อีกหนึ่งความประทับใจคือ แม้คุณหมอกี้จะประมูลด้วยเงินบริจาคสูงที่สุด แต่คุณหมอไม่ขอรับงานนี้ไว้กับตัวเอง
ทว่าอยากให้ผลงานถูกแขวนไว้ในที่ที่มีคนเห็นเยอะๆ
เพื่อจะได้เป็นประโยชน์สูงสุดกับผู้คนมากที่สุด
ผลงานนี้จึงถูกแขวนไว้ที่ BBHouse Khlongtan ซึ่งมีงานศิลปะแฝงปรัชญาอยู่มากมาย
ใครอยากเห็นของจริงก็แวะไปดูได้นะครับ ทั้ง CEO คือคุณเหน่งและผู้ดูแลคือพี่มุก เป็นคนที่ใจบุญสุดๆ
และมีธรรมะในหัวใจอย่างเปี่ยมล้น
ที่นี่จึงเหมาะแก่การเป็นบ้านอันถาวรของผลงาน "ไม่อมตะ"
ที่จะคอยสอนผู้คนให้ตระหนักถึงสิ่งที่ "เป็นอมตะ" ตลอดไป...

I think it's a shame that I have long hair cut and throw it away?
So I got the idea of cutting hair to make one art piece on earth. It's better as a reminder that

【藝術無價】開普敦市中心有個區域叫做 Green Market Square，這裡販賣著不同非洲紀念品🎁 其中這位小姐的作畫吸引了我們的目光👀 她的作品顏色鮮豔，不像其他的都好像工廠出來的😊 我特別喜歡這幅正在哺乳的作品，感覺非常溫馨❤️ 倒是 York本來要買一幅正在洗衣服的婦女，但被我打退票😝

不過她畫開價是台幣$1000- 450ZAR，非常不合理。我從 200ZAR開價，後來 250ZAR- 台幣$570 成交，雖然感覺還是有點小貴，但藝術這種東西本來就很難定義正確價錢💵 不知道大家對於買紀念品有什麼撇步嗎😂 每次要買東西都要殺價很累，所以到目前為止這次我們第一個紀念品😝 #不喜歡殺價 #不喜歡買貴 #藝術

Visited the historical square in the centre of old Cape Town called Green Market Square where they sell many African souvenirs🎁 This lady's artwork caught my eyes, especially this one where the mom's breastfeeding the baby❤️ However it was a bit stressful negotiating the price since it's hard to determine the value of an artwork💵 Started at 450 ZAR and ended at 250 ZAR, could've been cheaper but oh well... Welcome to share the tips of how to negotiating in the markets, otherwise I really don't feel like purchasing anything😂
