{IG Giveaway} 3 sets of Marcus & Marcus Silicone Angled Feeding Bottle and Breast Pump to be won!
I like personalised stuff. That is why we are loving these new Marcus & Marcus feeding bottles from ITOTS PTE LTD. Besides being able to choose the animal print we want, of which the siblings chose the cute elephant, the bottles even bear his name too. How lovely!
These PPSU feeding bottles come in 180ml and 300ml, are BPA/phtalate free, safe for UV/steam steriliser and have a double anti-colic system to reduce gas intake. The feeding nipple is made from platinum silicon and feels extra soft. These will definitely come in handy when the baby starts drinking from a bottle or when the siblings request for me to pump so they can feed him.
Talking about pumping, we also tried the Silicone Angled Feeding Bottle and Breast Pump. Using natural suction, it is a convenient way to manually express breastmilk. I tried using it to express leftover breastmilk after a feed and the good thing is I can store and feed using the same bottle. Simply switch it to the nipple for feeding or sealing disc for storing.
Even though I have been latching the baby day in and day out, he took to the bottle right away thanks to the slow flow, soft feeding nipple which is designed in a gradual slope shape to prevent nipple confusion. It's hard to believe that this baby will turn six months in a week and I'm earnestly hoping our breastfeeding journey can go on for a few more years.

Practicing more self love, more honesty to the world, and embracing the bumps along the road.
From wrist tendonitis problems to back problems to hormones to sleep problems - my postpartum journey back to recovery has been ROUGH. The body felt weaker than pregnancy, the breastfeeding was harder than childbirth. In fact I exercised way more during pregnancy than postpartum. Finding a good rhythm to actually have time to workout has been so tricky… and the moment I thought I could be consistent with something, I realized I really couldn’t. Because she comes first, and then I’d forget about me.
I have forgotten how many times I felt defeated, handicapped, unable to face the world, I have forgotten how many times I just wanted to just give up on myself. I expected everything to be different and harder, but I never expected myself to feel so unable to handle any of it. #respecttoallmoms
I have forgotten how to take care of myself even if I wanted to. I now understand why they say it takes a whole year to bounce back. At 7 months postpartum, the struggle is still there, but definitely feeling the recovery happening, especially after weaning from breastfeeding. My mind is more at peace, knowing that Naomi is doing great. I shall allow myself to take time to really enjoy her first year first, and enjoy this slow journey.
Now I understand that, it’s not a race back to where I was. That was never the point, but to be elevated and be more than you ever used to be.
Practicing more self love, more honesty to the world, and embracing the bumps along the road.

*Congrats to Seah Peiyee for winning and thanks to everyone who joined!*
{Giveaway} One of the best feelings in life, to me, is breastfeeding my baby. It's something that makes me feel loved and needed, and reminds me I am truly blessed to be a mum.
Eating chocolate comes close too as I have been a chocolate lover since young. However, having gestational diabetes during my pregnancy made me take a step back from sugary food. Now, I get to do both of these things without feeling guilty because guess what, one actually helps the other!
Thanks to Big Big Mummy Brownies, I have been satisfying my cravings while boosting my milk supply at the same time, woohoo! These lactation brownies are delicious and chocolatey, I love eating them chilled because they taste like yummylicious fudge cubes and I can have one after another!
Okay, I stop at two each time because I can feel the effect after that. Quite amazing! It makes me feel accomplished and motivated when I am able to pump out more milk than what the baby needs. It's also heartening to see that his latching has improved over time and I believe we can make this unique bond of ours last for a long time.
So, who else loves chocolate too?
P.S. Fyi these brownies are safe for everyone to eat, not just breastfeeding mums, yeah? Love that they are not overly sweet or fattening, phew! See my stories for more.
