I think I’ve used all the sweet and romantic words for our anniversary wishes for the last 15 years. So, for our 16th anniversary, I've run out of words to describe my love towards you. I don’t know how to describe my appreciation for all the things you’ve done for me. I don’t know how to thank you for always sticking with me through thick and thin. I don’t know how to tell you how grateful I am for the forgiveness you gave me every time I made mistakes. I’m speechless!
So here goes the story…we were supposed to get married on the 2/2/2004 because of the nice matching numbers. But we ended up getting married on 1/2/2004 instead which was a day earlier. That shows how much fate couldn’t wait for me to be your husband. Of course, I thank the Imam because he had to move our wedding earlier due to a royal event. I nearly went amok at the mosque because he only told us a few days before the wedding! But I chose to look on the bright side which was us getting extra outfits for the wedding only to be ready in a few days. No pressure! But we managed to get married in the end and the rest of the wedding was like a fairy tale only without Prince Charming.
16 years later, here we are with 3 amazing children, a dead hamster and no cat. We are still going strong and stronger. After going through the hardest last year, I just want to let you know that I will always be there for you and the kids. And now I realised and want to thank God and the Imam for bringing our wedding earlier, so that I can be your husband a day earlier. An extra day to spend with you means the world to me and I will never take it for granted.
