Enjoy Favor without the Labor
“For to the man who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy; but to the sinner he gives travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him who pleases God. This also is vanity and a chasing after wind.” (Ecclesiastes 2:26 WEB)
In this world, man tends to value riches more than wisdom. But to God, true wisdom and knowledge is far more valuable, and is only reserved for those who are righteous in Christ.
On top of that, man thinks that joy is found in having riches, but we see in the verse above that joy is a blessing from God—apart from possessing worldly riches.
You can have all the wealth in the world and be miserable if you don’t have Christ in you.
Sure, God wants you to be abundantly provided for, but He doesn’t want you to focus on gathering and heaping up worldly riches.
His word says that He will let sinners do all the work, and have their hard-earned wealth be handed to you.
In case you feel indignant for their sake, know that it’s not unfair at all. Sinners (unbelievers) are God’s servants, and they have no right to expect treatment as sons if they keep rejecting the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
You’ll enjoy supernatural provision as a finished work. Something you did not labor for, but was given to you by God’s grace.
Is it unfair? It’s actually perfectly right for a father to generously provide for his children and be good to them.
“A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, but the wealth of the sinner is stored for the righteous.” (Proverbs 13:22 WEB)
As a son, you have every right to enjoy provision without laboring for it, because your Heavenly Father’s riches also belong to you.
““He said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours.” (Luke 15:31 WEB)
A great example would be how God brought the children of Israel into the land of Canaan, and drove out the Canaanites little by little.
“I gave you a land whereon you had not labored, and cities which you didn’t build, and you live in them. You eat of vineyards and olive groves which you didn’t plant.’” (Joshua 24:13 WEB)
When the children of Israel took possession of the land, there were already cities, vineyards and olive groves there which were previously prepared by the Canaanites. They only needed to move in and enjoy the finished work.
Sinners are still servants under the Law, while you are a son under Grace.
As you’re enjoying close fellowship with Abba God, receiving secret wisdom, knowledge and joy in His presence, all your basic needs in life will be met restfully. As His beloved child, you can expect to enjoy abundant favor without stressful labor!
I’m not advocating a life of laziness. Being diligent and hardworking are wonderful qualities, but we do our best in everything because we want to, not because we need to. We do our best to bring glory to our royal family’s name!
Prayer points:
1) Ask Abba God to teach you how to walk as a son in your areas of unbelief.
2) Pray daily to receive wisdom, knowledge and supernatural joy from God. When you prioritize what He prioritizes, it pleases Him. When you prioritize wisdom, your worry about provision will fall off. That loss of unbelief will cause all the things you need to be added to you.

What are you Feeding on?
“The mixed multitude that was among them lusted exceedingly: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, “Who will give us meat to eat? We remember the fish, which we ate in Egypt for nothing; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlic; but now we have lost our appetite. There is nothing at all except this manna to look at.” The manna was like coriander seed, and its appearance like the appearance of bdellium. The people went around, gathered it, and ground it in mills, or beat it in mortars, and boiled it in pots, and made cakes of it. Its taste was like the taste of fresh oil.” (Numbers 11:4-8 WEB)
In the wilderness, the children of Israel lusted for the imperfect produce of the cursed ground in Egypt when they had perfect food from Heaven every day. God’s anger burned fiercely against them, and this was done and written for our learning.
“For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that through perseverance and through encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.” (Romans 15:4 WEB)
Are you feeding on the wisdom of the world which is sensual and even demonic, or are you getting sustenance from wisdom from God’s word which is spiritual and heavenly?
“This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, sensual, and demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.” (James 3:15-17 WEB)
The taste of manna was like fresh oil. Oil is a picture of the anointing—the Holy Spirit.
When you feed on God’s word, you’re strengthened by the power of the Holy Spirit.
On the other hand, feeding on worldly wisdom only exalts the flesh and teaches you to rely on what is fallen and cursed.
After the fall, Adam only ate food after much toil and sweat from cultivating the cursed ground.
However, before the fall, Adam sowed seeds easily and fruit-bearing trees sprang up without his toil. He only needed to harvest the fruits when he felt like eating.
Do you want to enjoy restful increase and fruitfulness through the power of the Holy Spirit, or do you want to earn limited results that you have to stressfully upkeep through the strength of your flesh?
It’s either you live as a son under Grace, or like a slave under the works of the flesh. Do you want to sow to the Spirit and reap life, or sow to the flesh and reap the fruit of Death?
It all depends on what you’re feeding on. What you feed on affects what you believe, and that in turn influences what you say and do, producing what you have.
If you want to enjoy the God-kind of results, feed on the Gospel of Grace! Don’t get your sustenance from the world, or from the Law of Moses.
In my eBook “Messiah’s Miracles: The Power of Having Faith in Jesus Christ”, you will learn how to walk in the way of faith and get the kind of miraculous results that Jesus had during His time on earth.

The Only Gift of the Spirit that you can Operate at Will
“Now there are various kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are various kinds of service, and the same Lord. There are various kinds of workings, but the same God, who works all things in all. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the profit of all. For to one is given through the Spirit the word of wisdom, and to another the word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit; to another faith, by the same Spirit; and to another gifts of healings, by the same Spirit; and to another workings of miracles; and to another prophecy; and to another discerning of spirits; to another different kinds of languages; and to another the interpretation of languages. But the one and the same Spirit produces all of these, distributing to each one separately as he desires.” (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 WEB)
The nine spiritual gifts of the Holy Spirit can be categorized into three groups:
Speaking gifts: speaking in tongues, interpretation of tongues and prophesying.
Working gifts: gifts of healings, workings of miracles and faith.
Knowing gifts: word of knowledge, word of wisdom and discerning of spirits.
These are all powerful manifestations of the Holy Spirit. He is the one who produces these gifts through believers.
There is only one gift out of the nine that can be operated at will. Once this gift is activated in your life, you’ll be able to use it all day long if you want.
There are so many benefits to it. Learn more about speaking in tongues and if you haven’t had this gift activated in you, you can receive an impartation through the accompanying video in the post.
There is a reason why this blog post received more than 900 social media re-shares thus far. This is a spiritual gift that God wants the body of Christ to be equipped with and to use frequently! ⬇️
