缺點: 1.天氣很熱（我南部人不怕熱啦拉拉～）
2.大學部綜合排名低（誰管你綜排啊？）
3.阿三多多（早點習慣阿三口音以後面試不吃虧？...）
4.要有三門大學部補修課（也許能認識當地美國人的機會比較多）
5.熱門課不好搶（但我發現我想修的都有點冷門orz...）

基本上都算是非常熟的老師，所以寫出來的LoR都可以很具體列出實際的例子。
提供一下指導教授所寫的推薦信架構：
1.xx是我的學生我們認識xx年了，他目前負責領導xx計畫xx部分的執行，
xx計畫得到科技部補助xx萬元（這個計畫當初是我幫忙寫的），
xx是個獨立自主的學生，並且能夠完成交代的任務
2.xx對於研究很有熱誠，曾經獨立學習xx的技術，成功地做出了xx，
3.簡述計畫的成果＆我做的事
擔任助教，協助課程更新(實驗課平台換了，所有內容投影片都從頭做起)
讓課程變hot（他真的用這個字...）
4.根據上述，我強烈推薦xx到你們的program
我覺得雖然寫得不是那麼正式（？）
（用了hot這個字=口=，我以為這個字不應該在這出現...）
但是搞不好有種親切熱情的效果...
前言
從大一就開始看留學板，一路下來也看了五年了吧...
沒想到有一天換我po錄取文...（一直到收到錄取前都在潛水...憋氣技能滿點）
從Background 就可以看出我是個所謂的三低族，基本上GPA 沒過3.0就超絕望
同時GRE/ Toefl 又沒有亮點，如果去找代辦申請現在超火的CS 大概要從80名以
後的學校開始找了吧...
申請的時候我常常覺得自己該不會一間都沒上吧...
不過就我目前的申請結果，至少還有申請上Top 50 的CS/CE program
所以鼓勵跟我一樣低GPA 的人不要放棄，只要努力還是有希望的！
我覺得這個版給我的太多，一定要po文來回饋一下。
出國的動機跟過程
基本上我從很小就受到父母的鼓勵要出國念書，國小五年級去過英國去遊學
媽媽日文系畢業，曾經到日本留學一年，從小就覺得媽媽流利的日文很神
另外，爸媽幾乎每年都會帶我跟弟弟出國玩，
我覺得這些都在心中埋下出國的種子。
大學學習的過程，基本上大一大二幾乎都在打球 & 尋找自我(玩)，
大一計概被當了一套，大二資結也被當，
三電一工等等的主科大概全部都是低空60分飛過...
一直到大三開始思考未來要做什麼的時候，想到了出國留學的選項，
算了一下GPA大概才2.4x ，就決定要放棄這條路，把留學版移除我的最愛（誤）
後來做了專題，接觸到了一些嵌入式系統的應用，開始對於要做什麼有些方向。
我算是一個應用導向的人，不太喜歡沒有目的的學習。
現在的大學教育比較偏向是丟一堆理論的東西讓你學一學，以後再來學應用。
這剛好和我的學習習慣相反，我比較想要知道現在遇到了什麼問題，
然後思考要去修什麼課。(我的SOP裡面也有寫到這部分)
在做了專題後，我開始了解各個學科會用在哪裡，自己還缺少哪些東西。
大四的時候我選修了許多專題相關的課程，這些課也都拿了不錯的分數。
（同時也要感謝女友，假日都會拖我到圖書館讀書XD）
也因為這樣到了畢業GPA 也拉到了接近3.0，然後也先進了研究所。
進了研究所一直在思考，難道我以後就是這樣跟大家一樣，
研究所畢業進科技業，終其一生嗎？
另外，碩一的時候修了jserv 來成大開的課，
受到了課程的刺激，我開始覺得自己的弱小，以前學的東西真的好虛...
後來想說至少碩班要去做交換學生，增加視野，開始去補托福...
同時也開始回復關注留學版的習慣，看著大家的錄取文等等...
一整個點燃了我心中想要出國留學的鬥志（誠心推薦留學版）
所以就決定要申請15Fall了
準備過程
2014 Jan - May : 準備Toefl （分數不高就不多說了）

2014 Oct - Dec : 寫SOP/ CV, 丟申請資料
我的SOP/ CV是到translator板找的，由於我自己的條件差，
唯一還有補救機會的就是這個部分，盡量做到最好。
但我想我就不在這裡推薦譯者，因為我覺得這跟選學校一樣，
也許沒有一個是最好的，但是需要選到適合的。
建議可以去爬一下translator版上譯者們的推薦文和自介文，
多爬幾篇就可以大概了解譯者的風格和特色，
（我是覺得如果連這點找資料的能力都沒有怎麼出國念研究所XD）
找到覺得適合自己的譯者然後寄信詢問，
我也很幸運找了第一個就決定要給他處理我的申請，請他當我的顧問。
我覺得有一點很重要就是如何讓學校覺得你不一樣
現在的申請者不乏T100/ G320/ GPA3.5 以上的，
大家的SOP 中每個都寫自己得過多少獎，考試第一名之類的，
像我這種弱者勢必就寫不了這些東西，所以必須去挖掘自己的特色。
同時也要用自己的研究、修課、課外活動等等來佐證。

我覺得在寫SOP 的過程中需要有人以強烈批判性的問題來刺激你，
問你到底要什麼？
整個SOP 必須要非常站得住腳，沒有一個點是自己有一點點動搖的。
另外我對於每間學校也都有做客製化，有些學校字數會有限制，
同時側重的點也會不太一樣（就像GRE 寫作...）
請記得詳閱申請系統SOP 欄位的說明，然後檢查寫完是否有打到每一個點。
印象中CMU 對於SOP/ LoR 的解說都寫得很棒！
送申請的部分我建議越早送越好（當然還是很多學校沒差）
有些學校是先到先審，像是今年的NEU CS 甚至還提前截止（被申爆了）
不是丟完就沒事，記得要追蹤申請狀態，
有些學校沒收到成績單也不會寄信跟你說，
我看到今年UCI 資料晚一點到就直接關閉你的申請
選校
選校的話我從一開始就慢慢的在爬每間學校的program介紹還有GPA限制
同時找到符合興趣的就會去爬爬錄取文（ptt、一畝三分地、edulix等論壇），
瞭解一下往年錄取的人的背景。平常無聊就翻翻網頁、看看論壇。
一年下來，US News 專業排名前一百名的學校系網頁，我幾乎都看遍了，
同時也會去查查每個學校的wiki頁面，然後瞭解一下美國的地理位置
也因為這個動作才讓我對美國的各州位置和特色有些概念XD
最後選校就從我之前看過喜歡的program中，衡量錄取的機率然後做選校，
有些學校是有硬門檻的限制的，像是Upenn 的embedded system 我超喜歡，
但是他的托福要求100，而且Upenn 很看重GPA 等量化數據，
這類學校我就直接放棄QQ
當然還是有丟幾間夢幻等級的像是CMU, UCSD, Columbia
另外由於低GPA，且CS/ CE競爭激烈，我申請的級距拉得很開（怕沒學校念）
但是千萬不要選一個你根本就不想去唸的program，
我每個申請program 都至少能保證去能夠修我有興趣的課程，
每間學校改完SOP 都會覺得“啊啊啊啊，超想現在就飛過去念啊！”
就算是保底也不要有一間是勉強去唸的！！！
另外還建議可以申請一些往年比較早放榜或是rolling的保底校，
因為在ad來之前真的很難熬，每天焦慮的刷信箱/ the grad cafe/ 一畝三分地
所以，申請一些結果來得早的學校可以讓自己穩定情緒
Conclusion
其實說了那麼多，最後還是顧好GPA 最重要，
但是我覺得不要盲目的為了GPA 修涼課，最好專精在自己的領域上，
這樣在寫SOP 的時候就可以直接拿成績單上面的成績來佐證，
如果我說我的興趣是XXX，但是我一門XXX的課都沒修過，也沒做過研究，
空有很高的overall GPA 也沒什麼用吧...（不過感覺申請USC有用喔XDDD）
有關轉領域申請，我在大學最後一年和研究所的修課都是CS/CE相關課程
也在這些課程拿到不錯的成績，所以我認為我具備了足夠的條件去申請。
板上最近也都推轉領域的人去修學分班課程，我認為應該很有用。
以我這種低GPA+轉領域申CS 的人來說，最後拿到ASU的AD實在是知足了。
最後，申請結束才是新的開始，未來有更多更大的挑戰要面對。
（得先面對我還沒開始寫的碩論了...XD）
