NYX Professional Makeup Japan will be closing their business in Japan at the end of this month.
．
I was lucky enough to participate in the FACE Awards Japan from the very beginning. Thanks to NYX, my beauty makeup skill has improved, and it opened a lot of doors for me. Dressing up and applying makeup as a woman for 40+ years old man is one of my greatest memories too.
．
NYX products were all so pigmented/bright in colors, and they were easy to use. It definitely made my beauty makeup artwork more fun!
．
I was also given an opportunity to be a judge, create makeup looks for the future FACE Awards, and even have given a master class for many creative makeup artists. I'm very thankful for lots of opportunities and chances to meet many people/artists through NYX!
．
I will miss NYX leaving from Japan, but I will definitely check out their stores when I go overseas (so please COVID-19, settle down!) Thank you very much, NYX Professional Makeup Japan all these years!!

＜About the artwork＞
My first ever challenge on self-beauty makeup!
I usually do makeup for models so I don't apply makeup on my face but I see many other artists who apply makeup on their face at the FACE Awards and they all look amazing!
Believing in that makeup magic, I've decided to do a self-beauty makeup this time.

I'm turning to age 42 this year and my reckless challenge of dressing as a woman would probably be the first and last time....

To express the theme "royalty", I picked the Japanese traditional beauty and painted cherry blossoms in full bloom.
Also, in order to add my own view of traditional Japanese beauty, I've also focused on the details such as nails and decorations to show the delicate beauty of Japanese makeup and style.

＜作品について＞
セルフビューティメイクにチャレンジしました！
普段はモデルにメイクするばかりで、自分にメイクすることは無いですが、Face Awardsではみんな自分の顔を素敵に変えているので、今回、僕もメイクアップの魔法を信じてセルフメイクでいく決心をしました。

今年で42歳の僕ですが…無謀にも女性になるという意味では、おそらく最初で最後の挑戦になると思います…テーマである「Royalty」を「和」の世界観で表現するべく、満開の桜をフェイスに咲かせてみました。

また、自分なりの世界観をカタチにしていくうえで、メイクは勿論、ネイルや飾り物といった細部に至るまで制作しています。
