美國致力於提倡安全的電信網路與供應鏈，不希望他們受制於由外國政府所掌控或受到不當影響的供應商，最後陷入未授權存取與惡意網路活動等之類的風險。這類惡意行為會危及國家安全，或對合法、創新產業的智慧財產構成威脅。我們不時呼籲盟友和夥伴重視這類風險，並同時提高警覺，確保他們各自電信網路與供應鏈的安全，這也包括商用合約的授予在內。

In honor of AIT@40 Trade & Investment Month, and World Intellectual Property Day on April 26, all week long AIT will be celebrating Intellectual Property Week! The U.S. advocates for secure telecoms networks and supply chains that are free from suppliers subject to foreign government control or undue influence that poses risks of unauthorized access and malicious cyber activity. This kind of activity can threaten national security or threaten the intellectual property of legitimate, innovative businesses. We routinely urge allies and partners to consider such risks and exercise similar vigilance in ensuring the security of their own telecoms networks and supply chains, including when awarding contracts. The United Kingdom’s Huawei Cyber Security Evaluation Centre (HCSEC) Oversight Board recently released its report on risks to UK national security stemming from Huawei’s involvement in the UK’s critical networks. According to the report, the committee “continued to identify concerning issues in Huawei’s approach to software development,” has seen “no material progress [towards addressing] issues raised in the previous 2018 report,” and “has not yet seen anything to give it confidence in Huawei’s capacity to successfully…[address] these underlying defects.” Read the full report here: https://bit.ly/2uzVRsu
