So...after watching Crazy Rich Asians for the third time, a lightbulb went off in my head and I decided to film a Rachel Chu-inspired hair and makeup tutorial!!! Honestly throughout the whole movie, makeup and hair was ON ? POINT ?.
I noticed they used a lot of mauve-toned makeup and fashion choices for Rachel Chu, a great contrast to the bold bright colors of the other Crazy Rich Asians in the movie hehehe
This is my first makeup tutorial and disclaimer I am not a profresh MUA lmao I like makeup and I enjoy doing it for fun!
I forgot to film myself putting on mascara, but that's the step after curling lashes xP
Also, If you want to have your hair stay in shape longer than I wanted mine to, spray your hair with a light dash of hair spray before going out ;)
Thanks for watching & let me know in the comments if you'd like to see more makeup tutorials! (Astrid Leong??? ?)

got to watch a screening of Crazy Rich Asians at the Warner Bros. lot and i had a lot of thoughts.......
disclaimer: if you haven't seen the movie yet don't watch this unless you want spoilers (i don't go crazy on the plot details but still if you wanna be surprised...lolol)
in all seriousness, this feels like the beginning of something huge. the talented asian americans in cinema / entertainment / the youtuber-verse (trailblazers who i grew up watching like wong fu, asian vloggers like kevjumba, asian youtuber artists like aj rafael & kina grannis) definitely made such great contributions & i truly believe that it was their baby steps that grew to where we are now.
when there are no opportunities present to you, create your OWN.
a HUGE shoutout / thank you to my friend Cheryl K who invited me to the screening, who ALSO sings the introductory song Money, also featured in my video hehehe :3 !!!!
thanks for watching!
