It's the time of the year where Christmas markets are everywhere. Last year, I went to the one in Toronto. This year, I decided to go to the one in Quebec City to be merry and taste the flavours of the season! The Marché de Noël allemand is listed as one of the top 10 Tasty Canadian Christmas markets by Food Network Canada. The Old Quebec definitely has its charm, and with the Christmas decorations and the heavy snow yesterday, I can definitely feel the Christmas vibe in the air! :)
Besides the beautiful scenes, the succulent German treats are available at the market, from bratwurst sizzling on the grill to hot pretzels to steaming mugs of cider and mulled wine to festive gingerbread. Honestly, it smelled so nice!!
I also went to the Le Marché du Vieux-Port. It's a foodie heaven! There are a lot of canned goods, fresh produces, and a spices store at the back where you can get your hands on a variety of spices from common ones to those rare ones!
