Yup, the kids get to jiak ho liao when Papa is around because he is not just an expert in preparing seafood but also makes the effort to go and get the freshest ones for us. Swipe to see before.
So while my one pot meal is usually just fishball noodles or macaroni soup, we get a sumptuous one like this when he takes over the kitchen. Even if I am not particularly a seafood fan and the kids hardly appreciate crab #不识货的家伙, it still makes us feel very thankful and loved.
For now, the kids have to bear with Mama's much simpler dishes like steamed egg, sesame oil chicken and pan fried fish but the good thing is they told me they also loved and missed them. Yup, very diplomatic kids we have, haha.
Well, we are gonna go to the supermarket today because we need to get some groceries. It's been a while since we went out so I am hoping everything goes well. Happy start of holidays!
P.S. While the hubby prefers rice, the kids love noodles so I like to keep some on standby in the fridge. Loving the all-natural, preservative-free and pasteurised fresh noodles from @kangkangnoodles which can be kept for over a fortnight. Are your kids noodle lovers too?
