《Astro新秀大賽2016》星勢五強首次在大馬高等學府亮相！Steve 余筱慧、William 陳建宏、Wengdyy 黃雯俐、Brian 周奕斌以及Eugene 尹景順即將來到馬大校園獻唱，以充滿愛與夢想的歌聲與馬大同學們見面！ 今年，新秀五強以多首獨特MV展現唱功及個人魅力，遠渡重洋接受重量級專業導師的培訓，並在 韓國搖滾樂團Royal Pirates、香港唱作音樂人Eric Kwok郭偉亮以及嘻哈組合農夫的嚴苛評鑒下，突破重圍成為最奪目耀眼的新秀五強！被譽為馬來西亞最具指標性的中文歌唱比賽《Astro新秀大賽》已邁入20年，曹格、張棟梁、林健輝、陳威全、陳勢安、顏慧萍、賴淞鳳等多位著名歌手，都從這個華麗平台展翅飛翔，在華語樂壇闖出一片天！

The top 5 of ASQ 2016 are making their first ever public debut in Malaysia public university! Steve, William, Wengdyy, Brian and Eugene are thrilled to serenade and meet the students of UM in an occasion that’s bound to be filled with love, hopes and dreams. It has been a grueling yet rewarding journey for the five finalists. They have had the honour of appearing in their own creative music videos, where they got to demonstrate their acting chops, as well as the fruit of having attended lessons overseas under the guidance of professional musicians. Apart from that, they have also gone through rigorous evaluation by the judges - Korean rock band Royal Pirates, Hong Kong songwriter Eric Kwok and Hip Hop group Fama! This year, Malaysia’s most-anticipated Chinese singing competition, Astro Star Quest, is reaching another milestone – celebrating its 20th anniversary. Over the years, many popular singers such as Gary Chaw, Nicholas Teo, Eric Lim, VChuan, Andrew Tan, Geraldine Gan, Nicole Lai and the like have spread their wings beyond the ASQ stage and have made a name for themselves in the Chinese music industry.
