产后分享篇 - #增奶神器
产后两个月多了,
我一直都有在喂母乳,但是因为奶水不多而烦恼。
在月子中心时奶水还算可以当天挤出来的当天都可以喝完。
但是自从出月子后,奶水减少了,
试吃了很多催奶食品都无法增加更多的奶量。
我本身不介意配方奶,
所以当奶水逐渐少时,
我都给宝宝喝配方奶。
但是有一次宝宝因为喝了比较多的配方奶,
水分不够导致便秘之后肛裂(大便出血),真的心疼死我了。
我就立下目标要努力的找方法来增加我的奶量!

One of the most frequently asked questions I receive from fellow mamas is on the topic of how to increase milk supply. As a first time mom with @tylerjayng, I wasn’t a high supply mom but I kept telling myself maybe cos I simply am a “just enough” supply mom, and accepted it as the way it was. I was mostly direct latching Tyler so all was good, UNTIL my supply dipped when I was unwell or when I needed to travel away from him that I realised I didn’t have any spare milk ready for him! So this time, I made sure I was well prepared and really did my research before giving birth to @lucasjedng. Sharing with you some of the things I did to kickstart/increase my milk supply along the way:
- Made sure I consume enough nutrients from my meals during pregnancy after birth
- Let baby get a good latch ASAP
- Drink lots of liquid (water, soup, red dates drink, milk, etc). It’s recommended to consume up to 3 litres of liquid daily 😱
- Pre-natal/post-natal massages to help with blood circulation and stimulate milk production
- Rest and sleep enough (virtually impossible but just try! my supply usually increases after a good nap and sleep)
- Power-pumping (20-10-10-10-10 mins interval of pumping and resting to trigger more milk supply from the body)
- Use a gentle yet powerful breast pump (I’m using both @spectrababymy S1 and S9)
- Empty both boobs at each feed/pump
- Consume snacks with ingredients that help increase milk supply like oats, chocolate, berries, etc (I’m taking lactation cookies from @phoenixsignaturekitchen and granolas from @gantan__kitchen)
- Take milk-boosting tea before meals (I’ve been taking Mama Milk Tea 妈妈奶茶 from @sws28medical, made using natural herbs that encourage an increase in milk supply. Just pour the sachet into a glass of warm water, stir and drink before meal times twice a day!)
- Relax, and think happy thoughts (cliché but true! my yield plunged when I’m stressed out so breathe, look at photos of your baby, listen to your favourite playlist and feed/pump away) 🙌🏻
