開發商 Bend Studio 在 2019 年向Sony提案《往日不再》的續作，不過經評估後遭到駁回，《往日不再2》也就從此沒有下文。
《往日不再》雖然沒有得到遊戲網站很高的評價，但它確實賣得很好，並擁有相當的粉絲群。但Sony高層只看網站的評價分數就一口否決《往日不再》續作開發計畫，這種評價標準，讓遊戲的相關開發人員感到難以置信。
