張敬軒終於見到自己所住大宅嘅家族後人

有人成長於北角皇都戲院嘅時代嗎？
都係呢個家族㗎！
這場「世紀相遇」終於成真！
經過無數個月鍥而不捨嘅追尋，我們成功聯絡上璇宮戲院（皇都戲院前身）創辦人歐德禮（Harry Odell）的新抱 Mrs Molly Odell，更好榮幸安排到 Molly及她的家人由海外嚟到香港。昨日 Walk In Hong Kong 活現香港 就同佢哋去咗張敬軒 Hins Cheung屋企Old Alberose，即係歐德禮先生嘅舊居參訪，而Molly與丈夫及一對仔女亦曾居於大宅！見到原屋主嘅後人，軒仔熱情款待他們，仲話興奮到起晒一身又一身嘅雞皮！
歐德禮先生與他太太的威爾（Weill）家族對香港史有好重要嘅意義，我地亦會陸續整理及公布這些珍貴片段同故事，大家要密切留意喇！

【This is not a coincidence】 After many months of searching, we got in touch with Mrs Molly Odell, the daughter-in-law of Harry Odell, founder of the historic Empire Theatre (present-day State Theatre) in North Point. We’re very honoured to have her and her family come to Hong Kong. Yesterday, we went with the Odells to meet Cantopop star Hins Cheung in his home, Old Alberose, i.e. Harry Odell’s old home. Molly and her family used to live in the mansion, and Hins warmly welcomed them back to their ancestral home. Hins said he’s so excited that he got goosebumps all over his body!
Harry Odell and his in-laws, the Weill family, were very important figures in Hong Kong history. We will continue to study what we’ve found and share with you the precious stories it tells. Stay tuned.
