#Taiwan and the #US have signed a memorandum of understanding to facilitate consular assistance and institutionalize consular functions to protect the rights of nationals of both countries. The signing of the MOU takes relations between the two countries into closer alignment with the 1963 Vienna Convention on Consular Relations, making it easier for consular staff on both sides to fulfill their responsibilities.
