😷兒子乾咳兩天,我們全家人情緒緊繃!沒有發燒、沒有流鼻水,只有乾咳!
母:「咽喉處疼痛嗎?」
兒:「好像有一點⋯」

媽媽我還是不放心,偏偏這時候沒必要盡量避免上醫院,想到了冰箱裡有罐醃漬兩年 #鹹檸檬 從來沒開過!根本忘記它的存在!我心想該不會壞了吧!?竟然,一開罐,撲鼻而來濃郁檸檬香氣,檸檬皮的味道身好好聞!相似陳皮香~
🍋夾出兩片檸檬對上一杯熱開水,強迫兒子喝下去,天氣這麼熱,喝熱飲實在折騰,兒子就在我關切的眼神下,努力喝了半杯(馬克杯)。隔天我再給一杯,兩天後,兒子的乾咳消失了!

🍋食材
檸檬 數顆(我個人偏愛黃檸檬)
鹽巴 大量
玻璃保存罐
🍋步驟
1. 檸檬洗乾淨,滾水消毒檸檬皮,放涼。
2. 滾水消毒容器、瓶蓋,確實晾乾(可用吹風機加快速度)。
3. 燒開一壺水,放涼(沒煮開過的水,其中微生物會讓醃製失敗)。
4. 開水倒入瓶子,食鹽逐次、慢慢加入冷水中攪伴,直到無法溶解,食鹽水飽和(沒溶解的鹽巴沉在底部沒關係,低鈉鹽不建議)。
5. 檸檬切片放入(盡量多塞)。
瓶口鋪上乾淨塑膠袋,再蓋上瓶蓋(用力轉緊)。
🍋有人說鹹檸檬需要醃一年,越久越有效,我的這一罐,就在健忘下,醃了兩年‼️
🍋飲用時可以將檸檬片去籽、切細碎,更香!
🍋喝起來的口感其實不會太酸,可以嘗試搭配蜂蜜給幼童喝。

Q:坐月食療目的是補身嗎?
A:不是每天進食大量滋補湯水就叫坐好個月,中醫理論認為產婦於坐月期間需按個別體質情況調養,尤其補身前要先健脾胃,因為脾胃功能好才能吸收食材中的營養,有助母乳生成及身體復原,盲目進補只會加重脾胃負擔,補過頭不但容易增磅,亦容易令體質上火,出現便秘、口乾舌燥等症狀。
Q:坐月該吃甚麼?
A:坐月宜多吃多餐,一日五至六餐最適宜,進食清淡而富營養的食物,宜選屬性平和的食材,以蒸、煮、燉、燜為主,讓脾胃更容易吸收,避免生冷及屬性寒涼飲食,可按體質適量於餐單加添補氣血食材如陳皮、沙參、玉竹、黨參、太子參等,並且飲用有健脾胃功效的湯水。
Q:坐月為甚麼要喝炒米茶/炒米水?
A:喝米水是中醫的傳統智慧,以紅米、白米、薏米調配而成的米水能健脾胃,有助身體復原,而炒米水健脾胃之餘也能暖胃袪寒。產婦產後即可飲用炒米水,先不用添加紅棗、陳皮或其他藥材,以免太熱氣。如身體有偏熱症狀如有痔瘡、口瘡、盜汗、喉嚨痛等則宜飲屬性平和的米水 。哺乳媽媽尤其需要水分才會有足夠的母乳,所以每天宜多喝暖水及米水。
Q:坐月期間水腫了,是否因為喝太多湯水?
A:產後出現水腫症狀如腳跟忽然腫脹多因產時失血過多,正氣耗損,加上脾胃虛弱而致,水濕滯留不去而產生,主要表現為面色偏黃,面目手足或四肢浮腫,可飲用有茯苓、陳皮、扁豆衣的水腫腫茶、紅豆米水紓緩症狀。
Q:薑醋除了派給親友,產婦可以吃嗎?
A:中醫理論認為「產後體質多虛多瘀」,薑醋有袪風散寒、活血袪瘀的功效,自然分娩產婦可於十二朝後開始進食,而剖腹產婦宜於產後20至30日,待惡露排清後進食。要注意薑醋適合虛寒體質的產婦食用,體質偏熱的產婦則少吃為妙,可以喝一兩口醋而不吃薑。

Q:Are confinement meals meant to nourish the body?
A: An effective postnatal care is not just about nourishing the body. Chinese Medicine theories believe that women need to customize confinement plans based on their body conditions.
Before nourishing the body, it is important to strengthen the spleen and stomach first. A good spleen and stomach can only absorb the nutrients from the confinement meals and help moms boost milk production and recuperate faster.
Consuming nourishing ingredients without understanding their needs would only add on to the burden of the spleen and stomach. An over-nourished person would not only gain weight more easily but also cause heat to accumulate in the body, accompanying symptoms include constipation and dry mouth and tongue.
Q:What should we eat during confinement?
A: It is best to eat more meals. Five to six meals a day would be ideal. Eat light foods that are rich in nutrients, but do opt for ingredients that are mild in nature.
The best ways to prepare each meal are steaming, cooking, stewing, and simmering, as the spleen and stomach can better absorb the nutrients from the ingredients.
Avoid raw and cold foods as well as those that are cool in nature. According to the individual’s body constitution, add ingredients that can nourish qi and blood, such as dried citrus peel, glehnia root, polygonatum odoratum, codonopsis root, and pseudostellaria heterophylla root. Having soups that can strengthen the spleen and stomach is also good for mothers during confinement.
Q:Why should mothers during confinement drink fried rice tea/fried rice water?
A: The practice of drinking rice water comes from the wisdom of Chinese Medicine. Rice water made from red rice, white rice, and coix seed can strengthen the spleen and stomach and help the body recuperate faster.
Likewise, fried rice water can also strengthen the spleen and stomach. It can even warm the stomach and dispel cold from the body. Women who have just given birth can drink fried rice water immediately.
For those with heat-related symptoms such as hemorrhoid, canker sores, night sweats, and sore throat, it is best to drink rice water that is mild in nature. Mothers who breastfeed need to regularly hydrate the body to ensure constant milk production. Hence, it is best to drink more warm water and rice water daily.
Q:Does drinking soup cause edema during confinement?
A: Symptoms such as swelling on the ankles after delivering are due to excessive blood loss during childbirth. When the qi in the body is damaged and the spleen and stomach weaken, dampness can more easily stagnate in the body.
Other related symptoms include yellowish complexion and the swelling of the face, eyes, and limbs. You can drink herbal teas that contain poria, dried orange peel, and hyacinth bean coat to get rid of water retention. Red bean rice water could also relieve the symptoms.
Q:Besides giving ginger vinegar to friends and family members, can new mothers consume them?
A: Ginger vinegar can dispel wind and cold from the body and at the same time, invigorate the blood and clear blood stasis in the body. Likewise, Chinese Medicine believes that a woman’s body experience deficiency and blood stasis after childbirth.
Hence, new mothers who have gone through natural birth can start taking ginger vinegar after twelve days, whereas those opted for C-section can consume it after 20 to 30 days (or after the lochia discharge has ceased).
Ginger vinegar is suitable for new mothers with a cold body constitution, so individuals with a heaty body should avoid consuming it excessively. It is fine to take a sip of the vinegar but avoid eating the ginger.

選對理氣化痰水果
咳嗽痰多時不敢亂吃水果?因為總覺得水果的果糖會惹痰!但如懂得選擇合適水果,更會有理氣化痰作用,例如蕓香科植物的黃皮、佛手柑、金桔、橙、橘、柚子等,如果屬風寒咳嗽,伴隨症狀為喉嚨痕、痰色白、鼻塞、鼻水較為清稀等,宜吃屬性偏溫熱的金桔、佛手柑及黃皮;如果屬風熱咳嗽,伴隨症狀為痰色黃而濃稠、喉嚨乾痛、口渴、易出汗、小便偏黃等,宜吃屬性偏寒涼的橙、橘及柚子。
金桔 — 性溫,有理氣解鬱、消食化痰的作用,對於有胸悶氣結、心情鬱悶人士最為適合,同時可紓緩因肝氣鬱結而引起的食慾不振。要注意脾胃氣虛者不可多吃。
羅漢果 — 性寒,具解暑清肺、化痰止咳、潤腸通便功效,適合風熱型感冒引起的咳嗽、喉嚨痛,亦適合熬夜、煙酒過多、飲食過度而導致的喉嚨痛、扁桃腺發炎、失聲及便秘等症狀。但要注意風寒感冒、咳嗽及脾胃虛寒者不宜多服。
黃皮 — 性溫,具行氣、消食、化痰功效,適合風寒咳嗽、食積不化、痰飲喘咳患者食用。
橙 — 性涼,可和胃寬胸、化痰潤肺,也有解噁心嘔吐、胸悶腹脹的作用,但多吃則會傷肝氣,有風寒感冒、寒咳人士忌吃。
橘 — 相比於橙及柑較細小,形狀扁圓,顏色比橙較紅,果皮較薄。橘性涼,有潤肺開胃、理氣化痰及止渴的功效,消化不良及身體有偏熱症狀人士尤其適合。已熟透變紅的橘皮曬出的就是陳皮,青的橘皮曬過就是青皮。有氣滯人士可適當地食用橘子,有助理氣。
柚子 — 性寒,有清熱消滯、下氣化痰、消食醒酒的作用,適合消化不良、胃脹、噯氣、宿醉未解人士食用,亦適合風熱咳嗽患者。氣虛體弱、脾虛便溏者不宜多食。

Choose the right fruit to regulate qi and clear phlegm
When we are coughing up phlegm, we tend to avoid eating fruits because we believe the sweetness would trigger phlegm production. There are actually some fruits that can regulate qi and clear the phlegm. This includes plants from the Rutaceae family, such as Chinese wampi, bergamot, kumquat, orange, citrus, and grapefruit.
If we are down with wind-cold type of cough (other accompanying symptoms include itchy throat, nasal congestion, and clear and watery nasal mucus), you can eat fruits that are warm in nature, such as kumquat, bergamot, and Chinese wampi.
If the cough is wind-heat type (other accompanying symptoms include thick and yellow phlegm, dry and sore throat, excessive thirst, sweat easily, and yellow urine), it is best to consume fruits that are cold in nature, such as monk fruit, orange, citrus, and grapefruit.
Kumquat - warm in nature, helps to regulate qi and relieve depression, aid digestion and reduce phlegm. It is especially suitable for those for those with qi stagnation and tight chest, and those in bad mood. They help to relieve lack of appetite due to liver qi stagnation. Note those with weak spleen and stomach should not eat too many kumquats.
Monk fruit - cold in nature, helps to relieve summer heat and clear lung, relieve phlegm and cough, moisten intestine and relieve constipation. Suitable for those with hot-wind related cough, sore throat, as well as night owls, those who drink and smoke, overeating related sore throat, tonsillitis, loss of voice and constipation. Note that those with cold-wind related flu, cough and those with asthenic weak spleen and stomach should not consume.
Chinese wampi - warm in nature; helps with digestion, promotes the circulation of qi, and clears phlegm. It can relieve wind-cold type of cough and is suitable for patients with indigestion and phlegmatic cough.
Orange - cool in nature, helps to neutralize the stomach, reduce phlegm and moisten the lungs, and relieve nausea and vomiting. But overeating it can hurt your liver qi and it is not suitable for those with wind-cold flus and cold cough.
Clementine - they are smaller than oranges, shaped like a flatter circle, redder in color than oranges and have thinner peel. They are cool in nature and can moisten the lungs and improve appetite, regulate qi, reduce phlegm and relieve thirst. They are especially suitable for those with indigestion and those with heat-related symptoms. If you take ripe clementines with their red peel to dry, you will make dried citrus peel and unripe green skin after drying makes dried unripe citrus peel. Those with qi stagnation can appropriately eat tangerines to regulate qi.
Pomelo - cold in nature; helps to clear heat and relieve stagnation, clear qi and phlegm, aid digestion and help drunk individuals to sober up. It is suitable for people with digestion, bloating and belching problems, as well as those with a hangover. Individuals with a weak body, deficiency issue with the spleen and loose stools should not consume excessively.

玉米鬚麥芽治脂肪肝:
玉米鬚、麥芽、丹參、茯苓各 30克,生山楂、何首烏、赤芍、當歸、白朮各 15克,丹皮、青皮、陳皮、柴胡、黃芩、甘草各 10克。
每日 1劑,加水過食材面,煮成一碗。 20劑為 1療程。可以加一小塊瘦肉。
【功效】降脂利濕,疏肝理氣,活血化瘀。主治脂肪肝。
【加減】若噁心者,加法半夏 10克;若腹脹者,加炒萊菔子 15克;若吐酸水者,減山楂劑量,加烏賊骨 20克。右肋疼痛者,加龍膽草 15克。
另外去藥房買魚油丸 OMEGA3,喝湯吃魚油丸, 20天一個療程以後,再連續吃幾瓶也就好了。脂肪肝是我們的身體在叫救命,不應該忽視。

素湯同樣可以有齊清熱、滋陰、健脾、補腎的效果。清熱解毒的牛蒡、馬蹄,加上滋陰、補水功效為主的鮮淮山、健脾補腎的栗子,味道清甜又解渴,夏天最適合了。
材料:
1)腰果 2 両
利尿、滋潤皮膚
2)栗子 半磅 (如喜歡吃栗子可以用一磅)
養胃、健脾、補腎、強筋骨、延緩人體衰老
含豐富不飽和脂肪酸、礦物質,可預防、治療高血壓、冠心病、動脈硬化等等心血管疾病
3)馬蹄 半磅
清熱生津、利尿、治療喉嚨腫痛,肺熱
4)新鮮淮山 ( 注意:新鮮淮山主要有滋陰功效,不是乾淮山健脾功效)
5)甘筍 2 個
健脾除積、含豐富胡蘿蔔素,可以補肝明目、治療夜盲症
6)牛蒡 2 條(幼身)
清熱解毒、紓緩咽喉腫痛
7)粟米 2 條
治療脾胃虛熱、養胃氣、解毒、除煩熱,利小便、安眠、體虛低熱

理氣、化痰濕、健脾胃、去腥
做法:
1)陳皮用清水浸軟,刮瓤
2)腰果用熱水灼 2 分鐘
3)栗子灼約十分鐘,用濕布包着,容易去皮
4)粟米切件
5)牛蒡去皮,切段,未用放入鹽水,避免氧化變黑
6) 淮山去皮、切段,未用放入鹽水,避免氧化變黑
7)甘筍去皮切件
8)馬蹄先切去頭尾,放入鹽水,避免氧化變黑
9)水大滾,將所有材料放進鍋,大滾十分鐘,轉細火煲兩小時, 加鹽調味便完成

7)菜乾洗淨,洗約 15 分鐘,再用清水略沖
