1. MALAS NAK BERSIAP- Ada ibu hamil, suka yang simple2 je. Sampaikan nak bersolek pun malas. Tapi, ada juga yang suka berdandan. Lain orang lain pembawakan.
2. TAK SUKA BUNYI BISING - Ada ibu hamil yang sensetif sangat dgn persekitaran yang bising, lebih2 ditempat2 terbuka seperti pasar malam, tengok konsert dan sebagainya. Diorang lebih suka suasana yang aman.
3. TAK BOLEH MASUK DAPUR - Ini jangan pelik ya! dia bukan malas atau sengaja nak mengelak dari masak, tapi ada ibu hamil yang langsung tak leh nak hidu bau tumis atau bau ikan.
4. SUKA BAU SUAMI - Ini memang kerap terjadi. Perubahan hormon yang berlaku membuatkan si isteri jadi lebih happy dan tenang sangat bila bersama suaminya.
5. SUKA TIDUR : Ada ibu hamil yang lesu, lemah dan jadi hilang tenaga dek kerana morning sickness yang teruk. Dan ada juga yang tak dapat tidur waktu malam sebab kepanasan atau kejang kaki. So, tidur adalah rehat yang paling menenangkan mereka.
6. TERLALU SENSETIF : Ada ibu hamil yang kuat sentap dan touching habis! janganlah silap cakap, nanti ada yang kena tidur luar. 😂😂 nak merajuk aje kerjanya.
7. SUKA MENGIDAM PELIK-PELIK - Tak dinafikan ada ibu hamil yang suka sangat mengidam yang bukan-bukan. Ada suami sampai pening, tak tahu mana nak cari apa yang isteri dia nak. Dia mengidam bukan sebab mengada, sebab makanan yang dihidang kadang2 tak kena dgn seleranya. Especially ibu yang mengalami mual teruk.
8. MAKANAN FAVORITE JADI MAKANAN YANG DIBENCI- Sebelum mengandung elok je makan, waktu mengandung jadi loya dan tak suka makan.
9. PELUPA- Ada ibu hamil yang diserang amnesia ketika mengandung. Sebenarnya banyak benda yang diorang nak ingat. itu yang sampai lupa. Papa jangan marah ae..
10- KUAT MAKAN KETIKA MENGANDUNG- Ada ibu yang hilang selera ketika hamil, dan ada juga yang naik selera ketika hamil. Itu normal.

In general, the menstrual cycle occurs in two phases. On average, it’s a 28-day cycle.
1) FOLLICULAR Phase - Day 1 to Day 14
- Go hard! Do high intensity workouts, lift heavy and perform total body strength training.
- Your body is more tolerant to pain and muscles recover quicker.
- Your body uses Carbs as its main source of fuel.
- You can increase your carb intake slightly especially after an intense workout.
2) LUTEAL Phase - Day 14 to Day 28
- I like to call this phase the “roller coaster” phase.
- this is when all the PMS symptoms start to hit: you might crave for sugar or high fat food, you have bigger appetite, you feel sluggish, you have trouble sleeping, your body retains more water, you feel bloated and you might suffer from mild cramps too.
- Your body turns to FAT AS FUEL instead of carbs.
- Good news, your body is now burning FAT rather than carbs or glycogen. Focus on steady pace cardio to get the most out of your workout.
- This is also when the muscle breakdown increases, hence it takes longer for you to recover from your workout. So choose moderation workout that’s less intense.
- You might lose your motivation BUT power through your workout, as much as possible, eat well and you WILL feel better.
We are all very different and it takes time to really understand your body. If you have this knowledge, you’re able to take advantage of the hormonal benefits and overcome the challenges by adjusting and changing your workout routine and also food intake.
Again, remember this is a guideline as there is very limited research in regards to training with your menstrual cycle. Give it a try, make changes and see what works for you.
