剖析工業物聯網生態圈的六大層次

工業物聯網(IIoT)大行其道,卻讓人摸不著頭緒,The Manufacturer介紹工業物聯網的六大層次,分別有哪些大廠商和新創企業參與其中。
工業物聯網(IIoT)分成六個層次,一是物品和機械零件,例如馬達。二是感測器和致動器加上嵌入式軟體,讓物品變成智慧連網產品。三是連網,讓產品得以跟後端系統溝通。四是產品和資料存取功能,以控制和管理存取權限。五是專用軟體,以便跟其他企業應用程式(App)整合。六是企業應用,例如企業資源規劃(ERP)、產品生命週期管理(PLM)和維護維修和營運(MRO)等系統。
上述六大層次仰賴一系列技術,所以需要各種軟體供應商共襄盛舉,首先是工業技術,例如博世(Bosch)、通用電氣(GE)、施奈德電機(Schneider)和西門子(Siemens),其次是微處理器和微控制器,例如超微(ARM)、英特爾(Intel)和NVIDIA。
第三是IT供應商,例如HPE、IBM、微軟(Microsoft)和甲骨文(Oracle)。第四是雲端儲存運算供應商,例如亞馬遜(Amazon)AWS和Google。第五是電腦輔助設計(CAD)∕電腦輔助製造(CAM)和PLM,例如Autodesk、Dassault和PTC的Thingworx平臺。第六是建築資訊模型,例如Bentley、Intergraph和Trimble。
除了亞馬遜、IBM、微軟和甲骨文專攻全球雲端儲存運算,國際大廠的產品幾乎涵蓋上述六大層次,更有不少新創企業雄心勃勃,準備打進物聯網市場。
說到感測器和嵌入式軟體,有Ineda(系統單晶片製造商)、Helium、Electric Imp和Samsara(物聯網平台供應商)等新創企業。至於連網服務,新創企業有Ingenu、Kepler Communications和SigFox。
邊緣運算新創有Foghorn Systems和Saguna Networks。物聯網方案新創則有Exosite和Zebra。資料分析領域有Augory Systems和Maana。資安領域有Claroty和Bastille Networks。當然也有多角化經營的公司,Zipline便是一例,以無人機在醫療產業掀起大革命。
此外,一些顧問公司和系統集成商,例如Accenture、勤業眾信(Deloitte)、Capgemini、安侯建業(KPMG)和Wipro也把工業物聯網納入數位轉型的重要項目。
物聯網也會促進企業轉型。首先是透過自動化,以嵌入式軟體和連網,將營運和決策加以自動化;其次是加速資訊傳輸,縮短資訊延遲時間,進而提高組織的回應力和靈活度;第三是加強產品週期各個面向,例如採用大數據分析、模擬軟體和企業工具;第四是物聯網產品和決策流程將改變傳統商業模式,提供以使用者為本的服務。
GE和能源公司Exelon合作便是一例,Exelon採用GE雲端物聯網平台∕營運系統Predix,來管理再生能源廠,還聯手針對Predix開發不少應用程式(App),利用天氣預測資料來建構更準確的財務模型,妥善預測隔天的電力供應和需求波動,接著把分析結果納入個案管理系統和建議系統。

Do you have what it takes to join Team Dan Lok?

When you’re on the team, you will be challenged.
You will be thrown into high-pressure, high-stake situations and be expected to perform ON YOUR OWN.
And you will be pushed to your ABSOLUTE limits. (Some say I put people through hell before I officially accept them to be on my team)

First you must meet all of the following requirements:
You must be coachable.
If you are not, you will not last on my team. Sifu fires FAST.
1) You must be someone who proactively looks for solutions to problems - even when you’re not assigned to fix certain problems
2) You must be able to work under very tight deadlines with high-attention to detail and high-level of skill
3) You must be passionate about your craft and be obsessed at mastering it. I can care less about experience, I care about your attitude and willingness to FIND answers
4) You must be performance-driven and you get motivated by supporting a team and bringing in sales to the company
5) You must be a team-player, not a lone wolf
6) You must speak English as your native language or you have native level fluency
7) You must have good communications skills
8) You must have a constant and reliable computer and internet access
9) You must be looking for a career and be part of a global organization, not just a “job”
10) You must have good time-management and self-management skills as you will be working mostly from home
