Guru Nanak Gurpurab, also known as Guru Nanak’s Prakash Utsav and Guru Nanak Dev Ji Jayanti, celebrates the birth of the first Sikh guru, Guru Nanak.
Philosophy of Sikhism
Sikhs believe that human beings spend their time in a cycle of birth, life, and rebirth. They share this belief with followers of other Indian religious traditions such as Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. The quality of each particular life depends on the law of Karma. Sikhism advocates equality, social justice, service to humanity, and tolerance for other religions. The essential message of Sikhism is spiritual devotion and reverence of God at all times while practicing the ideals of honesty, compassion, humility and generosity in everyday life. There are three core tenets of the Sikh religion: meditation upon and devotion to the Creator, truthful living, and service to humanity. Sikhs are meant to uphold the values of honesty, compassion, generosity, humility, integrity, service, and spirituality on a daily basis.
Langar is free vegetarian food which is served in Gurdwara (a Sikh temple) kitchens every day.
People said that there is no free meal but in Sikhism it’s another story :In the Sikh religion, everyone is welcome to enjoy langar (free meal)regardless of their faith, gender, age or status.
It is offered by every single Gurdwara in the world, with over 10,000 meals provided in the UK per week and over six million every day across the world. Due to pandemic this year it is limited with some precautions but never stop going all over the globe!
This is one of the most sacred festivals in Sikhism. #gurunanak #Gurpurab #sikh #sikhism #GOLDENTEMPLE

Buddha's birthday is a Buddhist festival that is celebrated in most of East Asia commemorating the birth of the Prince Siddhartha Gautama, later the Gautama Buddha, and was founder of the Buddhism. According to Buddhist tradition and modern academic consensus, Gautama Buddha was born c. 563–480 BCE in Lumbini (currently located in Nepal), and raised in the Shakya capital of Kapilavastu.
.

.
The date varies by region:

How to write and read Iroha | Japanese famous pangram poem | Learn Japanese
The Iroha (いろは) is a Japanese poem. Originally the poem was attributed to the founder of the Shingon Esoteric sect of Buddhism in Japan, Kūkai, but more modern research has found the date of composition to be later in the Heian period (794–1179). The first record of its existence dates from 1079. It is famous because it is a perfect pangram, containing each character of the Japanese syllabary exactly once. Because of this, it is also used as an ordering for the syllabary, in the same way as the A, B, C, D... sequence of the Latin alphabet.

Vesak Day commemorates the Great Sage Lord Buddha and His spirit of contribution to all sentient beings. On this auspicious day, what can we do to repay the Buddha's great kindness?
Repentance is to return to your original pure nature, to be cleansed of your sins. It is like washing a very dirty piece of clothes.
Do not miss this good opportunity to cleanse our karmic hindrances.
Vesak Day is the day of Lord Buddha, the founder of Buddhism. His compassion is all all encompassing and His Light will illuminate us and cleanse us of our negative karma as well as increase our merits. What an auspicious day!
Remember this when you bath the Buddha's statue. Even as the water runs down the statue externally, the pure water also cleanse our inner self of negative karma accumulated over many lifetimes. These become black smoke and emits from the eighty-four thousand pores all over our body. We are then cleansed of karmic hindrances, not just from this lifetime but from many many previous lives. We used to be regal-looking and not like what we are now.
Master Dai Hu wishes all my fans and readers a Happy and Blessed Vesak Day. ?

Sokushinbutsu (即身仏?) refers to a practice of Buddhist monks observing austerity to the point of death and entering mummification while alive.[1] This process of self-mummification was mainly practiced in Yamagata in Northern Japan between the 11th and 19th century, by members of the Japanese Vajrayana school of Buddhism called Shingon ("True Word"). The practitioners of sokushinbutsu did not view this practice as an act of suicide, but rather as a form of further enlightenment.[2]
It is believed that many hundreds of monks tried, but only 24 such mummifications have been discovered to date. There is a common suggestion that Shingon school founder Kukai brought this practice from Tang China as part of secret tantric practices he learned, and that were later lost in China
