話說聖誕活動瘋狂cancel,然公關和客戶的生活仍然要過。即使2月疫情看來仍須保持社交距離,但世界上的老細都會指示:「我哋打開門做生意,都係要人嚟消費,你哋照諗活動照做promotion,到時cancel先算啦!不過budget cut囉!」
話說Sam (假名啦,保護證人)聖誕前交了情人節和新年proposal,一直未有客戶回覆。是日向公關仔呻:打去問阿客有咩comment,阿客答:「你條橋幾好呀,但仲有無新野?」
「....即係你對條橋有comment?」
「唔係,你條橋好好呀,我哋會照做,我已經交咗俾我個妹跟,想睇下你有無多啲gimmick嘢可以propose。」
「其實我哋propose嘅嘢,最好俾我哋做返啦!如果就咁你哋自己跟返,其實對我哋唔係幾公平。」
「無法啦,老細又cut budget,同埋我啲妹無咩跟,咪當俾個機會訓練下佢哋囉!如果佢哋打嚟問你嘢,幫我教下佢哋啦!唔該晒!」
雖然個客好有禮貌,但佢講嘅野難聽過粗口。
然後Sam話經全team商量過,決定唔理呢個客,橫豎都無生意囉,不如同佢死過!
點知呢個客第二日send咗個email CC埋老細,話佢哋會自己做呢樣同果樣,recap咗Sam佢地propose嘅橋已經內部有人跟,invite Sam嘅team不如下星期開個tele- con,想聽下有咩新gimmick可以做。
屌那星,Sam佢地嬲到同老細講返成件事,老細只係嘆口氣話:「呢個係長期客戶,我明白佢哋間中都會咁low tech咁抄咗你哋啲橋自己做,但最近無生意,你哋都幫下手諗諗,都希望有啲野俾我哋跟啦!」
Sam全team人當然明白,但內心禁不住問候客戶老母。
其實確實明白cut budget嘅問題,但請記住,agency唔係你喺客就任得你點就點嘅行業,今日無錯我哋為咗跑數,點都會生啲橋出嚟俾你。但信任一失,客戶永遠唔會得到最好嘅idea,最落力願意仆心仆命假都唔放覺都唔瞓為咗幫你做好一件事嘅team。
將心俾己,你願唔願意不顧一切去幫背叛你嘅人?
有禮貌唔係大晒,無budget都唔係無得商量,但無尊重,你永遠唔會得到最好嘅service。
你得到嘅,係俾我哋班公關唱通街,每個service你嘅人都會有戒心。好橋,只會留俾有尊重嘅客戶。
諗住去咗第二間公司就無人知?錯了,你自己就係你個brand,你永遠要為你嘅行為負責。
即使你個brand大如HSBC,曾經係香港人最信任嘅金融機構,現在黃絲不蔑俾錢你賺,視財如命嘅藍絲更加怕你將佢地嘅心肝命掟凍結。 做幾多企業公民活動都好,永遠洗唔甩你背棄港人嘅行動。一兩個人憎你梗係無所謂,你仲可以做其他生意;但當一大班人憎你,慢慢將之離棄,當然唔會即時死或者死,但永永遠遠,都失去了尊重和信譽。
後記:Sam條team最後決定交啲濕鳩橋俾客,做就賺佢少少,唔做都不痛不癢。問Sam可否將佢嘅分享寫低時,佢話:寫囉!但我想講我哋唔係認命,我只係用我嘅方法同佢鬥長命。我係吹佢唔漲,但我都唔會就咁就放過佢囉!

UPDATES ON PROJECT HELP LOCAL F&B - WEEK 4
Four weeks have passed since I started this project, and a total of 27 businesses have benefited from this initiative. (Total of 5 this week, after 2 businesses unfortunately had to cancel at the last minute)
I know I say the same thing in every week’s update, but still, THANK YOU! To every single F&B business that have reached out to me, thank you. For trusting me with the styling direction, and letting me transform my dining table into a space for shoots. It is my greatest pleasure seeing how these photos will be able to help each F&B.

ALL PHOTOS WERE PLATED AND SHOT IN MY HOME USING NATURAL LIGHT ONLY. NO FOOD WAS WASTED IN THE PROCESS.
*All F&B businesses provided their own crockery and props for the shoot*
As Phase 1 has officially begun, the initiative has since been extended until Phase 1 ends, which is potentially by mid June or end of June. That said, all the slots for the next two weeks have been filled and I will NOT be taking in any more requests until further announcement is made by the government. The F&B businesses that have already reached out, will fill up every slot until 30th June.
The requests have been overwhelming from the F&B industry, and I have been assisting every request to the best of my abilities. I am extremely encouraged to know that businesses who can afford, gave up their requests for another F&B that is in need. Do be patient with me as I assist every F&B business that came forward.
Do let me know in advance if you've had a change of mind so I can adjust my schedule and assist another company.
Once again, if you do know of anyone who needs the extra help, do reach out and I will definitely do my best to lend a helping hand with the extremely limited slots left in Phase 1.

想和各位分享一件小事,問題經已獲得解決,不過希望當作經驗一則與大家分享,避免壞了旅行大好心情。
我一向都是Hoxxls dot come的用戶,因為喜歡它可以儲晚數換免費住宿,不過當現在越來越多OTA,亦多了價格比價網,OTA價格透明化,比它便宜的隨時就有,所以忠實度確實有所下跌。不過,最近發生有一件小事,令我對Hoxxls dot come有所改觀。
話說訂了一晚價值1,000多元、在沖繩的酒店,但因為颱風關係未能前往,當然早在一兩天前已經發現這個問題,所以氣定神閒,打算在Free cancellation期內取消。那個時候,如圖所見,我收到的Email是,前兩晚的12AM前都可以取消。剛剛我又測試了是假如預約了9月16日一晚的話,取消期限為9月15日的0時,這亦與我當時預訂時所見的吻合(即是預訂日的24小時前)預訂當天收到的電郵也同樣是同一時間。
直到!我打算取消的一瞬間,問題出現了。我先進入確認電郵按取消,然後跳進網頁,網頁竟說已不能退款,因為時限已過(?)。當下我與朋友一起,我們4隻眼睛我見到明明電郵寫著還在期限內,但網頁出現的字眼竟然與電郵及預訂時不同,變成兩日前的6PM(即預訂日的30小時前)。當下我相當震驚。幸好我當時買了Skype計劃,可以打電話到OTA Customer Service Hotline查問,花了20分鐘通話費,對方卻指你看到的不對,是兩天前6PM才對。在等候接線生期間,通話被切斷了,沒辦法,颱風嘛。於是我再花20分鐘,重新把事發經過與另一位接線生說一次,他的反應亦是「你看到不對,是兩天前的6PM才對。」當時我覺得最無奈的就是,接線生沒有幫助我的意慾,不停指的是我所看到的不對,排除了它們公司系統上有問題的可能性。我問他們可否看到當初發送給我email的內容,他說看到了,是6PM。
對話已經花了近一小時,就連我所看到的取消期限也超過了(0AM),接線生建議我將截圖透過網頁傳送報告。然後,試了十次也不能成功上傳,無論我是40kb、jpg、改了名稱為screenshot,都被懷疑有病毒所以不能傳送。想用Email傳,接線生說不收Email。最後,只能發了文字訊息求助,等候回覆。經過騷動的一夜,我們經已作定最壞的心理準備 - 當作no cancellation付全費當買教訓。
不過我不喜歡坐以待斃,另一邊廂我最先其實已直接打去酒店,與他們談論因颱風關係,客觀上已知交通將會癱瘓,無法前來,對方表示理解,退款是可能的,但要先聯絡翌日才工作的訂房部與OTA。確實,假如經OTA預訂,所以還是OTA解決比較直接。那刻想到還有Free Cancellaton,才進入網頁打算按cancel,只是沒想到,原來會有這個情況出現。
隔天,收到電郵回覆,HoXXls說酒店說不可以退款,但他們會據理力爭,與酒店較早前所說的不一致,不過我不想影響旅行心情,沒有多想。後來晚一點再打上Customer Hotline查詢(幸好還有十分鐘Skype Credit),終於跟我說能夠成功退款。對我來說算是告一段落,在最後關頭,HoXXls沒有令我失去所有信任,謝謝。
但問題核心是,HoXXls的Free Cancellation Policy原來會有這種誤差情況 - 你預訂時所看到的 與 它們系統的不一。幸好今次我不是因個人理由而取消,而是因為颱風關係這種客觀情況,假如因自己行程改變而取消,可能各位真的會全數損失。這次經驗裡,公司始終沒有承認過系統上的問題,接線生抱著不信任的心態,而且過程上不user-friendly。即使有證據,或許你又難以證明Screenshot圖是真確沒改圖。直至現在,網上仍然是寫0AM,那到底還是否仍然準確?更新了沒有?
溫馨提醒:建議大家最好預訂後,立刻按入系統再確認一下全部內容,有沒有偏差。希望大家不會遇到類似情況,不然會壞了旅行心情。
