▶ 79-AUG. 24 #維蘇威火山爆發 Mount Vesuvius Eruption
《#龐貝》Pompeii, 2014

位於義大利半島南部那布勒斯灣的維蘇威火山，於公元79年8月24日爆發（有考古證據顯示事件應為10月）；此次火山爆發噴出了每秒1.5百萬噸的火山碎屑，而位在山腳下的龐貝城也在一夜之間被活埋，直到16世紀人們因開闢下水道才讓龐貝城重見天日。

▶ 1875-AUG. 25 #泳渡英吉利海峽 Captain Webb Conquers the English Channel
《#韋伯船長》Captain Webb, 2015

人稱「韋伯船長」的馬修韋伯，在1875年8月25日用了不到22小時的時間，從英國的多佛游泳到法國的加萊，成為第一個在沒有輔助器材下泳渡英吉利海峽的人。這項壯舉讓他爆紅，但他在1883年7月24日挑戰尼加拉瓜大瀑布下游泳時淹死，享年35歲。

Hi. My name is themblan, and I am a boy-gamer.

Today, I played as Mewtwo, and went into online battles to play 1-on-1 against Bowser, -Hero- Villain, and Captain Falcon.

My Road To Elite series is a series of videos chronicling my rise and fall through the ranks of the online Smash Ultimate gaming-world. I am not a pro, nor am I overly passionate about the game. If you had to label me, I guess the general term is a "casual," although I do not like that term. It kind of has a pejorative tint to it. I used to consider the Smash-series to be my favorite series of videogames until Smash 4 came out and massively disappointed me. I think, however, that this game -- Smash 5, is massively better than Smash 4, and so I am enjoying playing this game.

My goal for this series isn't to get to Elite by any means necessary, or as quickly as possible. My goal is to have fun, learn the game, and share my joy and despair to the world. I hope it is somewhat entertaining. If I never reach Elite, that will be fine with me. It is about enjoying the journey, every step of the way

Hi. My name is themblan, and I am a boy-gamer.

Today, I tried out Online Tourney Mode. In the Heroes Vs. Villains event, you can only select certain fighters, so I selected Dark Samus, because she looks so sick. I fought in a 4-player Free-For-all against Hero, Ganondorf, and King K. Rool.

Then, I went into regular Online battles to play 1-on-1 against Link and Captain Falcon.

I watched a lot of Evo yesterday, and it kind of got me hyped to get back into Smash, and so I did. I had never faced a Dragon Quest Hero before, so the results were not good, but I was entertained.

I wonder who will win tonight.

My Road To Elite series is a series of videos chronicling my rise and fall through the ranks of the online Smash Ultimate gaming-world. I am not a pro, nor am I overly passionate about the game. If you had to label me, I guess the general term is a "casual," although I do not like that term. It kind of has a pejorative tint to it. I used to consider the Smash-series to be my favorite series of videogames until Smash 4 came out and massively disappointed me. I think, however, that this game -- Smash 5, is massively better than Smash 4, and so I am enjoying playing this game.

My goal for this series isn't to get to Elite by any means necessary, or as quickly as possible. My goal is to have fun, learn the game, and share my joy and despair to the world. I hope it is somewhat entertaining. If I never reach Elite, that will be fine with me. It is about enjoying the journey, every step of the way
