【台德🇩🇪️、台捷🇨🇿️友誼長存】
Friends of Taiwan 🇹🇼️, Martin Eberts and Vaclav Jilek, the heads of the German Institute Taipei and the Czech Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei respectively, were presented with the Order of Brilliant Star with Violet Grand Cordon by Foreign Minister Joseph Wu in a ceremony at the beginning of this month. Both are set to leave Taiwan after four years in office and have made major strides in joint cooperation, with Jilek overseeing the launch of the Taiwan-Czech working holiday program and the signing of MOUs on education, as well as scientific and tax cooperation. Eberts, set to depart this month, has worked towards improved economic, educational and scientific cooperation, oversaw the launch of the Taiwan-Germany working holiday program, as well as initiatives involving energy reform and carbon emission trading.
