Blueberry Mango Lemon Smash
1½oz Empress 1908 Gin
1oz Mango Juice
1oz Simple Syrup
2 Blueberry or blackberry (halved)

METHOD: Muddle the blueberries at the bottom of your glass, add ice, mango juice, and simple syrup. Top with gin, and garnish with a lime! Stir, and enjoy!

昨日晚餐&夜酒:「Sidebar」。
琴酒達人縮梭的酒吧。追讀他的部落格與臉書多年,卻是直到昨晚才終於一會。speakeasy bar 形式,隱於外側主吧之後,需得按下當日密碼方得其門而入,非常有趣。
愛酒人兒相見歡,理所當然演成一場縱情醉飲琴酒狂歡宴:宛若火焰大挑戰一樣,不單單開場一連三杯 Gin & Tonic 而後破軍、Aviation、馬丁尼等琴調酒之一路暢飲;最懾人是縮梭的博聞與熱情,總是聊著聊著,沒幾分鐘,隨話題之延伸觸及,便見他一轉身一伸手瞬即抓下一瓶聞所未聞琴酒,有俠隱於世小廠工藝之作、有初出茅廬新崛起酒款、有知名品牌地區限量限定出品……
從歐洲亞洲非洲美洲大洋洲、從北半球喝到南半球,各國各地、各種風格、釀法配方以至想得到想不到的素材一路囊括,隔日逐一檢點照片,發現竟嚐了超過四十款!連到底怎麼回到家的都想不起來…… 😅
「這才只是冰山一角呢!」老闆之一 Craig 在旁笑說。真的是如此,聽說珍藏超過六百款,而且仍在不斷增加中,根本嚐不盡哪~
喝得多了,漸漸聊到他最愛的琴酒類型,一如所料,鍾情的是配方單純、杜松子個性鮮明的本格路數(── 說到此,又忽地接連掏出多款、甚至還有單一只使用杜松子的品項……),與我沉迷琴酒至今之心路歷程不謀而合,更覺共鳴。
調酒亦見功力。喜歡他的Aviation,果味花香細膩盈盈,頗驚艷是,所用的 Empress 1908 琴酒,純飲時似顯幽微的紅茶香,反是調酒後習習鮮明綻放,好生迷人。
最後一杯,一如我的歷來習慣,請縮梭全依個人喜好調製一杯馬丁尼,果然,滑稠潤澤酒體裡,杜松子風味與線條飽滿清晰,完美壓軸!
值得一提是,酒好、菜也出色,料理類別橫跨東西,尤以沙茶滷味和沙嗲雞肉串最讓人印象深刻,技法到位風味濃厚有特色,下酒絕佳。
