DAY 8 - UK SIA RQF Level 3 Close Protection Operative. OFFENSIVE & DEFENSIVE DRIVING

This is the most intense action filled day I experienced over the course duration. Not only were we drilling foot work; we also had to combine that with:
1. Getting in and out of the car with the VIP & maneuvering the car during a normal situation
3. Getting in and out of the car with the VIP & maneuvering the car during a HOSTILE CONTACT SITUATION
Meet our instructor, Joel from @foxsssltd! He has 10 years military experience and he served as an army infantry sergeant and 8 years Close Protection experience. It gets even more exciting because we switch up roles every single drill and at quick speed. My advise to those who are going for this course, get used to Joel shouting at you in the background. He is training you not to crack under pressure to become a quality operative.
At the end of the day, I got burnt out trying to cope mentally and physically to his challenging training regime. You got to try this! This is what drives my dopamine levels sky high!

[英國學車] 找師傅篇

我自修極速考完theory test後，足足拖了快1年才考車的原因，是因為在找師傅上無從入手。

上網查的時候，很多driving school都一下子要你買10,20,30 個鐘的課程，在沒有試過或熟人口碑介紹的情況下，真的不想貿然付好幾百鎊。。。

於是幾個月來我不斷的見朋友就問，有無教車師傅介紹ar? 識中文同聲同氣的話就更好了! 終於給我在去年10月尾認識到現在的師傅。平日上課會廣東話英文並用，學費則每課後逐堂給。

很多朋友見到我之前考車的post都inbox 我問有關教車師傅的事。可惜，英國實在太大，學車和考試可以說是非常地區性的，尤其要從初學至可以考試，一般需要學20-50個鐘不等。 而我的師傅是based London Mill Hill考場的，教Hendon, Colindale附近一帶的學生已經夠他忙了。

不過，有幾個tips可以給大家在選driving instructor時留意。

首先，可以上https://www.gov.uk/find-driving-schools-and-lessons, 打上自己家的postcode, 看看附近有甚麼instructors, 它會提供instructor的名字、email和電話號碼。

第二，想同聲同氣，可以選些姓氏是中國人的。 打postcode時也不妨多試幾個mile以內的其他postcode，因為它有時只顯示1 mile以內。

第三，選一些有標示有CPD, 和A grade的instructor｡ 因為去年12月考試內容更新了，如果沒有持續CPD，可能未能掌握最新考試的要求和內容。 而如果instructor願意把自己的導師資格考核成績公布出來，並獲取A grade，也是個信心的保證，差極有個譜嘛｡
