Living one's life and getting acquainted musn't always be about money, benefits or personal gains that one can expect to reap from someone or anyone, for that matter. It goes way beyond that.
Sadly though, some of those who we regard as dear friends, we hold very closely to our hearts, we cherish their presence in our very lives and we've gone that extra mile to please still fall short of recognizing the importance and true meaning of just that. No matter how much one has given or still giving, it has never been noticed and appreciated they way it should be. All they see is how else we can benefit them to achieve what they desire. Other than that, we are of no use to them, not even thought of.
Oh well.....that's the flaw of human nature, I guess. Nevertheless, all we can hope for is for them to come to their senses, start realizing it and fixing it soon enough before it all becomes too late and goes beyond repair. Be all what you can be but at the same time, do not let go the pieces of humanity in you, if there's any. Peace be upon us.........
