Did you ever realise how unique Eid-ul Fitr is? Unlike other festivals or celebrations, Eid-ul Fitr has no connection with any historical events nor it is related to any worldly affairs. Eid-ul Fitr is purely spiritual. It is a day that brings joy and happiness. Yes, we‘re happy, but not because of the departure of the month of Ramadhan. Yes, we’re joyful, but not because of the freedom from the obligation to fast. But we’re celebrating and rejoicing after successfully completing our obligations to Allah throughout the whole month of Ramadhan. That’s what we’re happy about and that’s what the celebration is based on.
Let us keep reminding each other. Let us teach our young generations and the generations to come. Make them understand that this is the day of remembrance of Allah. Make them aware that this the day of gratitude to Allah. Let them know that is the ultimate purpose of Eid-ul Fitr, apart from gatherings and feasts 😊
Remember Allah and thank Allah for all the blessings that He has bestowed upon us all. Not only has Allah given us time, strength, and endurance to fulfill the fasting and seek His pleasure, but more importantly than that, Allah has blessed us with willpower. You know...that feeling in our hearts that makes us want to do more, to do extra for the sake of Allah. That feeling is a blessing from Allah. Thank Him for that 🤲🏼
