Who has a sweet tooth? I know I do 🙋🏻‍♀️!
Often times, people assume yoginis/yogis all eat healthy.
Well I’m here to break the news - we’re only human and have cravings as well :P.
Good news is, healthy snacks do exist ;) and I choose to BE KIND to my body by practising healthy snacking with @bekindsnacks_hk.
I always have one in my bag in case I need a pick me up before/after teaching yoga. (Yes, even before they sent me these goodies, I was already a huge fan).

Psssst.. they released a new yogurt line with cranberry & rose and cherry & chia seed!

食宵夜傷身又致肥 
香港人生活節奏急速又忙碌，食無定時之餘，不少人更養成吃宵夜的壞習慣。從中醫角度來看，吃宵夜的習慣會傷身，日間脾胃不停運作消化食物，正常到晚上需要休息讓其它臟腑運作排毒，進食宵夜即是要脾胃加長工時，容易引致胃病，亦影響肝膽等臟腑的正常運作，更會影響睡眠質素。而且宵夜選擇除了外賣，自煮的話多數是即食麵、腸仔、急凍食品等就手之選，全都是重口味、油膩的肥甘厚味食物，多吃容易損傷脾胃，亦容易致肥。 新一年開始決心戒掉吃宵夜的壞習慣吧！如果你已到達不吃宵夜睡不著的地步，就先從食物選擇入手，在宵夜時間改吃香蕉、番薯、果仁等，盡量選擇看得到食物原形的食物，避免精製或加工食物，最後把宵夜習慣戒掉就更好了。

Late night snacks are unhealthy and can cause obesity

Hong Kong people live a hectic lifestyle. We do not eat at regular hours and many of us enjoy late night snacks. From the perspective of Chinese Medicine, eating late at night is a bad habit. Our digestive system has worked hard during the day, and it should rest at night so our organs can carry out detoxification. 

Eating late means our spleen and stomach would have to work ‘overtime’. This can cause stomach problem, affect the functions of the liver and gallbladder, and reduce our sleep quality.

Besides ordering delivery, we would normally opt for instant noodles, sausages and other frozen items. They are heavily flavored, oily and greasy, which would hurt the spleen and stomach. Consuming these items excessively can cause obesity.
Let’s start our new year by ending late night snacking! For a start, you can avoid processed food and eat only natural goodies like banana, sweet potato, and nuts. From here, you can gradually train yourself to give up eating before sleep.

Brightman knows Golden Computer Arcade, a humble labyrinth-like shopping mall full of electronic goodies in Sham Shui Po, like the palm of his hand. The black backpack he carries was redeemed with trading stamps by a supermarket chain. The name “Gary” written on the bag makes him look like a local primary school student, but is useful as many others are carrying the same bag. “I told you I’m a Hongkonger!” The 59-year-old says with a proud grin. Not to mention his love for Cantonese cuisine such as dim sum and deep-fried baby pigeon.
