We used to put lots of information on the upcoming traditional festivals during this period of time - probably the most colourful period of the year.
Many are cancelled/scaled down this year. Photos taken on last year’s Tin Hau festival 天后誕 - my favourite traditional festival of all.

𝗪𝐡𝐨 𝐢𝐬 𝐓𝐢𝐧 𝐇𝐚𝐮?
Tin Hau’s real name is Lin Mo 林默.
She is a chinese lady from Putin, FuKien 福建莆田 who had the ability to forecast the weather. She was deified after her death as Tin Hau, also known as the goddess of the sea, and widely worshipped by fishermen, seafarers and merchants throughout coastal regions in Southeast Asia. In Hong Kong, There are more than 70 temples dedicated to Tin Hau to pray for safety .
