國際身心障礙者日（International Day of Persons with Disabilities）雖然是聯合國一項的紀念活動，但是，1992年10月16日的第47屆聯合國大會通過決議，確定自1992年開始每一年的12月3日訂為國際身心障礙者日，也使得每逢1203的這一天，成為了世界各個國家的共通節日，只是，相迎於此一通過性儀式的國際身心障礙者日，台灣卻是糾結更多的文明化課題，特別關乎到「讓位」與「讓座」的融隔離合議題，就有它嚴肅思辨的必要。

💪🏻❤️今天是國際身心障礙日！這個日子提醒我們增進對身障議題的理解，並為身障者的福祉提供協助。上週是2020年「挑戰者盃身障兒童公益棒球賽」，在新莊棒球場有130位勇敢的小小運動員，他們克服身體的障礙，打了一場了對他們意義重大的棒球比賽。美國在台協會很榮幸可以加入新北市及許多其他支持夥伴的行列，在運動領域一起倡導身障權益。#SportsDiplomacy #LittleLeaugeChallenger #GSMP #InternationalDayofPersonswithDisabilities

The observance of the Day reminds us to promote understanding of disability issues and render support for the well-being of persons with disabilities. Last week 130 young and courageous athletes overcame their disabilities by playing a significant game at the 2020 LLB Little League Challenger Baseball Games at Hsin-Chuang Baseball Stadium! AIT was honored to join New Taipei City and many other partners to advocate disability inclusion, particularly in the field of sports.
