Who are you telling yourself you should be?
Something my clients learn when they work with me is that that ‘should’ comes with resentment and frustration that seeps into every area of their life, and I’m sure that’s the case for you, too.
Am I right?
You see, when you lose sight of yourself — who you are, what you love, what brings you joy, what lights you up, and what fuels you — in order to play the role of who everyone expects or wants you to be, the end result isn’t ever pretty.
Sure, you can play along for a while because it’s convenient for others and makes them happy, the question is: What about YOU?
You can keep the masks on, my lovely, but eventually they’ll crack, and the result of those cracks is rarely pretty.
How much longer can you continue to be who you tell yourself you should be? And when will you finally be who you really are?
