I’ve always been so curious as to what #MyRootsAre especially when I always get questions like “are you mixed” or “are you pure Indian” 90% of the time. All I’ve ever known and believed is that my dad’s side are all Singaporean Indians but were they really?

Taking part in this campaign made me inquisitive about my roots and I finally had the urge to ask my Dad! With that, I found out that my great-grandmother is from Sirkali and her dad is from Mayavaram!! That’s something I never knew!
Also, since I do not keep in touch with anyone from my biological mom’s side, I’m totally clueless about my roots from her side. And this, has really made me curious and eager to find out more about my ancestry!!
