1. alcohol 醇；酒精: 是英文單詞意思是「醇」或「酒精」。可以指: 1. 醇，化學上的有機化合物。2. 乙醇，俗稱酒精，常見的醇。
2. ethanol / ethyl alcohol 乙醇: 是常用的燃料、溶劑和消毒劑，也用於有機合成。工業酒精含有少量有毒性的甲醇。
3. isopropanol / isopropyl alcohol 異丙醇: 異丙醇的絕大部分被用作塗層或工業生產過程的溶劑或清潔劑（例如半導體晶片洗滌雜質)。特別是藥物應用，由於它被認為任何殘留的毒性低。
4. disinfectant 消毒劑: 消滅大部份微生物，使常見的致病細菌數目減少到安全的水平。然而，消毒 (disinfection) 與殺菌（sterilization）相比，部份細菌孢子、濾過性病毒、結核桿菌及真菌等都可能沒有消滅。
5. methanol / methyl alcohol 甲醇: 甲醇最大的用途是製造其他化學品。大約40%的甲醇會被轉化為甲醛，再用於生產塑料，膠合板，塗料，炸藥, 和免燙紡織品。
6. purified water 純淨水: 簡稱淨水或純水，文義上是純潔、乾淨，不含有雜質或細菌的水，是以符合生活飲用水衛生標準的水為原水。
7. distilled water 蒸餾水: 是純水的一種，是經過處理後純潔、乾淨，不含有雜質或細菌的水。以符合生活飲用水衛生標準的水部 (部首)為原水，通過電滲析器法、離子交換器法、反滲透法、蒸餾法及其他適當的加工方法製得而成。
8. alcoholic drink (or alcoholic beverage) 酒，其中含有0.5%至96%的酒精（即乙醇）。為人類飲用歷史最長的加工飲品之一，由植物發酵製成。
9. flammable liquid 易燃液體: 是指很容易起火燃燒的液體，不過不是此類液體本身會起火燃燒，而是若液體產生的蒸氣在空氣中濃度在爆炸下限（LFL）及爆炸上限（UFL）之間時，氣體會起火燃燒。 可燃液體（combustible liquid）也是會起火燃燒的液體，但燃燒的困難度較易燃液體要高。
10. -ol: The suffix -ol appears in the IUPAC (International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry) chemical name of all substances where the hydroxyl group is the functional group with the highest priority. 在英文的IUPAC (國際純化學和應用化學聯合會) 系統當中，烷烴鏈去掉末尾的「e」，加入「ol」，如：「methanol」和「ethanol」。

Collins Dictionary names ‘Brexit’ word of 2016
柯林斯字典將「英國脫歐」列為2016年度單字
’Brexit’ has been named the word of the year by Collins Dictionary. The first recorded usage of the word arrived in 2013, but this year saw a 3,400% rise.
「英國脫歐」已被柯林斯字典命名為年度單字。這個字彙的首次使用紀錄出現在2013年，但在今年的使用量增加了3400%。
"Brexit is arguably politics’ most important contribution to the
English language in over 40 years since the Watergate scandal gave commentators and comedians the suffix ’-gate’ to make any incident or scandal more compelling." Helen Newstead, head of language content at Collins said.

’Brexit’ has also been adapted to describe events coming to an end, such as ’Mexit’ for footballer Lionel Messi’s retirement and “Bradxit” for the end of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s marriage.
「英國脫歐」也被改寫以形容事件的結束，例如「Mexit」意指足球員利昂內爾．梅西的退休，以及「Bradxit」意指安潔莉娜裘莉和布萊德彼特的婚姻告終。
Other contenders for Collins’s word of the year included Trumpism. “Trump is not the first politician to have had his name co-opted by language：‘Thatcherism’ and ‘Reaganomics’, for example,” said Newstead. “However, the longevity of Trumpism as a word may depend on his success in the forthcoming election.”

The Kunio-kun (くにおくん) series is a video game series started by Technōs Japan. The series is now handled by Arc System Works who purchased all of the intellectual property rights from Technōs' spiritual successor, Million Corp. The first game in the series is fully titled Nekketsu Renegade Kunio-kun (Nekketsu Kōha Kunio-kun 熱血硬派くにおくん), which roughly translates to "Hot Blood Tough Guy Kunio", with Nekketsu being the name of Kunio's high school. The kun suffix after his name is an informal Japanese honorific usually applied to young males.
The series originated in the arcades and the Famicom console; its title and its protagonist, Kunio (variously renamed "Alex" and "Crash Cooney" in the United States), were named after Technōs Japan's former president, Kunio Taki. Along with that, Kunio also later became Technōs Japan's main mascot, appearing on the company's logo in several games and television commercials. Although the original game was created by Yoshihisa Kishimoto — who later designed Double Dragon — many of the later games (particularly those under the Downtown Nekketsu moniker) were the handiwork of two men: Mitsuhiro "Yoshimitsu" Yoshida and Hiroyuki "Mokeke" Sekimoto.
A few of the early Kunio games for the NES were localized for the North American market. These include Renegade, River City Ransom, Super Dodge Ball, Crash 'n' the Boys: Street Challenge and Nintendo World Cup, which were heavily "Americanized" versions of the Kunio-kun games. Technōs Japan has released over twenty Kunio-kun titles for the Famicom, Game Boy, and Super Famicom in Japan. In addition, licensed ports of the games were made for other platforms such as the PC-Engine (through Naxat Soft), Mega Drive (through Pal Soft) and the Sharp X68000 (through Sharp).
