President Tsai announces NT$40,000 raise for all search-and-rescue pilots

President Tsai Ing-wen on Friday announced a massive wage hike for pilots of the National Airborne Service Corps, a government agency that conducts search and rescue. All 100 pilots will get a NT$40,000 increase starting July 1, to help solve long-standing problems with recruitment and talent retention.

總統蔡英文宣布，將大幅提高進行搜尋和營救的飛行員薪水。從7月1日起，100名飛行員將獲得新台幣40,000元的加薪，以幫助解決長期存在的招聘和人才保留問題。

President Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文) has been elected to a second four-year term after defeating her main competitor, Kaohsiung Mayor Han Kuo-yu (韓國瑜) of the Kuomintang (KMT), by a wide margin.
