其實是《奪寶奇兵》合家歡版——Well，其實四十年前還是小學生的我，也是跟住大人入場觀看《奪寶奇兵》（Raiders of the Lost Ark），但時代始終進步了，當年的兒童適宜，已變成現在的兒童不宜，當年那個只負責製造危機、求救以及被Indiana Jones不停拯救的女主角，到了現在這個平權年代，不能夠再存在，而需要被進化成Emily Blunt，唔揪得，都諗得；至於打打殺殺這些粗重工夫，就交由Dwayne Johnson負責——Indiana Jones被分拆成兩個人，而且一男一女，大家都需要大家，誰也不能欠了誰，公平。

ทำให้ตอนนี้ทางผู้กำกับได้เริ่มออกมาโปรโมทผลงานของตัวเองกันบ้าง หนังเรื่องนี้ได้ Eli Roth มารับหน้าที่กำกับ ซึ่งผ่านผลงานสยองขวัญมาก่อน อย่างเช่น Hostel และ Knock Knock

แฟรนไชส์เกม Borderlands นั้น เต็มไปด้วยสีสัน และเอกลักษณ์ที่ชัดเจน แต่ Eli Roth นั้น มั่นใจเป็นอย่างมากว่าแฟน ๆ Borderlands จะพอใจกับหนังเรื่องนี้ แต่ปฏิเสธที่จะพูดถึงเนื้อหาแบบเฉพาะเจาะจง ซึ่งคาดว่าอาจจะต้องรอตัวอย่างหนัง หรืออนาคตก่อนถึงจะเปิดเผยข้อมูลใด ๆ ออกมาได้

Eli Roth ยังกล่าวต่ออีกว่า มันไม่จำเป็นที่คุณจะต้องเล่นเกมมาก่อนถึงจะสนุกกับภาพยนตร์ เขาอยากได้หนังแบบ Fifth Element หรือ Raiders of the Lost Ark ที่มันสนุกมาก ๆ เหมือนกับ Tomb Raider (Roth ไม่ได้บอกว่าภาคไหน) ที่แม้แต่คนไม่เล่นเกมก็ยังสนุกกับมันได้

แต่ถ้าคุณเล่นเกมมา คุณจะเพลิดเพลิน และสนุกสนานไปกับ Easter Eggs ต่าง ๆ และแฟนเกมทุกคนจะต้องชื่นชอบมันอย่างแน่นอน

งานนี้แฟนเกม Borderlands คงต้องรอดูกันแล้วว่ามันจะเป็นจริงแค่ไหน Borderlands มีกำหนดเข้าฉายในโรงภาพยนตร์ปี 2022 ส่วนบ้านเราค่อนข้างชัดเจนแล้วว่าทาง MONGKOL MAJOR น่าจะเป็นผู้ได้สิทธิ์ฉายในไทยอย่างแน่นอนในตอนนี้
