在巴伐利亞國王的避暑夏宮慕尼黑寧芬堡參觀，宮殿有常見的超華麗歐洲聖經神話壁畫，但特別的是不少異國風情裝飾也在其中，像是中國色彩的壁畫、埃及人面獅身裝飾的桌子等。這些家具裝飾之所以能受到貴族的青睞就是因為特色。
當大家一窩蜂的時候，如何運用自己產品的特色走出自己的路很重要。但特色不只是與重不同，而是特別有的價值Value Prop，要是消費者覺得有用的東西。另外，有特色還不夠，還要有基本功能table stakes，就是雖然你有特色，但其他基本消費者需求的還是要。我可以做個中國風格的壁紙，但如果壁紙容易褪色染色，再怎麼有特色我也不要買！

Visiting Schloss Nympherburg castle in Munich. The palace is the main summer residence of the former rulers of Bavaria of the House of Wittelsbach. Besides the common religion art on the wall, surprisingly I saw Asian decoration on the wall as well as Egypt style tables. How come those arts made to this Palace in Germany? Value Prop and its uniqueness!
While most companies are trying to follow what'a most hit and making same thing as the leader in the business did, don't forget to stick to your value Prop! Keep in mind, Value Prop is not what made you special, is what "value" you deliver to customer is special to them.
In addition, besides Value Prop, you also need table stakes. Table stakes are the minimum entry requirement for a market or business arrangement. They can be price, cost model, technology, or other capability that represents a minimum requirement to have a credible competitive starting position in a market or other business arrangement. If you have a special Asian wallpaper but the color fade easily, then I am not going to buy it even is special!
