Take good care of yourself
.

Dear NTU student, faculty, staff, and alumni
.
In the recent campus incidents, everyone was more or less psychologically impacted. The effects included: poor sleep, poor appetite, excessive worry, fear, easy anger, low mood, easy crying, etc.
.
Don't be panic if the above situation occurs because these are common reactions after psychological shocks; don't need to be afraid. Please follow the suggestions to overcome the difficulties and gradually return to the ordinary situation.
🤝Restoring a regular life, such as regular meals and restoring some original good habits, can help restore order and cope with stress.
🤝Accept the emotional reactions of yourself and those around you because these are natural.
🤝Try to support each other and share your feelings. It is best not to suppress it; because suppression sometimes causes a lot of physical and mental discomfort.
🤝Don't be alone all day. Keep in touch with classmates, relatives, friends, and colleagues, talk to them about their feelings, support, and comfort each other.
🤝Learn various relaxation methods to eliminate your physical and mental pressure.
(Please refer to the information on the web: https://scc_osa.ntu.edu.tw/AboutLife/Emotion)
🤝If you are strongly influenced by the incidents, please reduce the exposure to the social media and seek help when needed.
.
If necessary, you can seek on-campus service resources. Especially in one of the following three situations, whether you are yourself or those around you, it is best to seek assistance from school service resources:
🌲When the trouble has lasted more than two weeks.
🌲These disturbances interfere with everyday life functions (including work-family relations or academic aspects).
🌲When you feel quite uncomfortable or worried about your emotions or behavior.

How are you really feeling?
When we ignore or suppress our feelings, they only become stronger. They build up inside like a dark force that poisons us. Hurt feelings don’t heal. If we don’t learn to express and harness our emotions, they pile up like a time bomb.
