Now that #Sema2019 is over, I can now officially reveal the name of this car. Honda corporate wasn’t too keen on it for the show so I did not announce it then. The #Datsun510 built for #Sema2017 was named #thetantō after the short but deadly Japanese knife. This #HondaS800 is named #TheChinpira which means low level gangster or Yakuza in Japanese. The name fits the car perfectly because it’s not big and powerful like a real Yakuza boss would be, however it is a loud and imposing force in a small package just like a real Chinpira would be. We took a small and very cute car and made it gangster and thus you get #TheChinpira . If you have 5 minutes press play and I will walk you through the car.
