近年百老匯最搶手的戲票是《漢密爾頓》（Hamilton），這部造成轟動的音樂劇以現代的旋律來精彩呈現美國歷史人物的故事，讓年輕一輩也開始走入戲院看戲。我和我太太Kathy以及女兒Olivia最近到紐約觀賞最新的一部必看音樂劇，也就是剛獲得今年東尼獎最佳音樂劇獎的《致伊凡韓森》（Dear Evan Hansen）。如果要向各位推薦最精湛的舞台表演，那絕對是Ben Platt對劇中主角的完美詮釋。像這個角色一樣，在情感、嗓音、肢體各方面的要求都如此高的，確實是近年少有。他能每週演出八次還維持高水平，真是堪稱奇蹟。由於Ben Platt的演技高超，而且此劇探討年輕人孤獨疏離的感覺引起廣泛共鳴，因此現在是一票難求。但如果各位有機會去看的話請務必把握，保證你讚不絕口。以下是我承諾跟各位分享的六部（實在無法只提五部）我個人在百老匯看過最棒的幾齣戲：

The hottest ticket on Broadway for the last couple of years has been the phenomenal Hamilton. This thrilling musical has spawned a new generation of theater-goers by telling in modern rhythm a compelling story about American historic figures. Kathy, my daughter Olivia, and I recently traveled to New York to catch the newest must-see show, Dear Evan Hansen, this year’s Tony Award winner for best musical. If there is a single theatrical performance that I would recommend you see right now, it would be actor Ben Platt’s astonishing portrayal of the title character. I would have to go back many years to find a performance that was so emotionally, vocally, and physically demanding. It is a miracle that he can maintain such a high caliber of singing and acting eight times a week. The tickets are hard to come by because Ben Platt’s interpretation and the musical’s messages about youth alienation resonate with so many people. But if you do have an opportunity to attend Dear Evan Hansen, I would strongly suggest you take it. You will be amazed.
