Last weekend will forever be a memorable and pinnacle point in my vocal achievements... Together with @usembassykl, I had the opportunity to sing on @ellaaminuddins's 'Standing In The Eyes' and as some of you may know... This song is SUPER high, higher than my usual comforts.
@helenyap2013, one of Malaysia's renowned msuci arrangers insisted that I can in fact achieve it, by sending my words of encouragements thru multiple voicenotes, and at some point I even cried a little because I really believed that I couldn't do it. Helen kept encouraging me though, and after some tries... I FINALLY DID IT! 😭
It really felt like I unlocked new levels, vocally. It was a huge moment for me, so much so that after I was done with recording the track, I went and looked for all the high note songs I could never do before, but then my vocal chords said, 'Yo, let's chill a little. Lol'
So here you go, gais. A little taste of me singing in the key of E, which I think should just be changed to Key of Ella, because she does it best.
Also a reminder, that with the right amount of support and encouragement, you really can do anything! ♥️
