Florence Tan was one of the Star Search winners. She worked in Singapore as an artiste before leaving for Hong Kong and China after her marriage. I will always remember and respect this beautiful mother of 2. She told me during Star Search that she wanted to have her hair done at Passion and true enough she came even though Passion was not a place that the company would approve of for a young artiste. She did it anyway because she said she would. When you’re a star you should be able to choose where you want to get your hair done instead of being dictated when the company doesn’t even pay for it. A hair salon can make you look ‘X-factor’ and not look like a ‘supermarket’. Artistes must have the courage and attitude to do what they want, and have the influence but not blindly take the title. After all, Passion is not mass; it’s your loss if you’re not part of the best, maybe you don’t know what a star and exclusive are? Florence told me she wanted me to do her hair for her wedding in Taiwan and of coz she made that happened and flew me there. People can say a lot of different things but to keep your word and follow through is another story right? And even tho she lives in China and Taiwan, she would still come to Passion to do her hair when she’s in Singapore. Thank you for helping me with this hair picture that we’ve done together.
