26 July 2008. A Fairytale Love.
It was the day we walked down the red carpet and conquered obstacle after obstacle. The day we sang our self-composed song titled 我们的童话 during our march-in. The day you had to choose which shoe belonged to me, which strand of hair was mine and which apple I had bitten into - inspired by Cinderella, Rapunzel and Snow White, before you earned the sword and key to my castle. The day you were Prince Charming and I was the plainest yet happiest Princess.
12 years have passed and I think it's safe to say we still have countless obstacles in front of us, haha. Yup, the hurdles never end, especially it comes to marriage and parenthood, and I think we have overcome enough to realise it by now. The thing is, at least I know we are in this journey hand in hand and though we will probably not survive alone, together, we might just make it to happily ever after.
Yup, this emo mama is feeling extra sentimental today because the hubby is away and can't help but look through our wedding album to reminisce that day. Over a decade might have passed but these are the memorable moments that will live in my heart forever.
I've said this many times over the years but it's never enough. Big thanks to everyone who made our day so special, including our parents and family members for all their love and help, the jiemeis, brothers and swordbearers for being the best bunch of friends, the friends who made an effort to dress up for our wedding dinner and gamely took part in the Best Dressed contest, everyone who took time off to join us for our celebration and to @imagegardencapture for giving us these wonderful memories.
