[Learning from American History Education]
High school education in the United States is not just different because of language and culture but also because of the way how teaching is approached in many classrooms.
What impressed me the most was an American History course taught by Mr. Lewis, a history and computer science major. I really enjoyed how Mr. Lewis incorporated movies with his lectures and made us think about history from a variety of different perspectives. This is different from the rote memorization approach often taken in Taiwan. Of course, even in American History class there is some rote memorization such as memorizing all the states and order of presidents, but the purpose of these memorization exercise are to inform lively discussions and provide context for lectures that look at historical events from multiple angles.
To this day I still have contact with Mr. Lewis, and I thank him again for such a wonderful learning experience. His course had a profound impact on me, and I believe it will continue to impact future generations of students.
Taiwan stands on a good foundation and we are proud of it, but we should also work hard together to provide an even better education experience for the next generation of Taiwanese students.

Technology has the ability to bring people from around the world together, but it also can bombard us with a constant stream of information - some truth, some lies, some in between. Today, through a digital video conference, AIT brought together almost 300 students, professors, NGO leaders, journalists, and experts from the Taiwan authorities in three different locations to discuss the fake news invasion and what to do about it with Digital Minister Audrey Tang and Steven Reiner, Associate Professor from the Stony Brook University in New York. As Mr. Reiner said, “When people cannot differentiate between fact and fiction, truth and lies, it is a challenge to the fundamental basis of democracy…so the question is, what can we do about misinformation?”

Imran shows how one must travel during tough times.
The idea is to stay safe yourself, while keeping others safe, too. We're all in this together, so we should look around and scratch each other's backs for you and for me, as the greatest pop star once told us.

BomBom Academy is an official educational YouTube channel. This channel posts songs, dances, folk tales and storytelling videos that are useful for viewers who work in the education field, such as childcare workers and teachers.
Some of our older viewers may be nostalgic for the seasonal songs and dances that are shown to the public.
We also have songs, chants and folk tales in English and Japanese that are perfect for adults to learn foreign languages.
We have a lot of "interesting and informative" videos. We'd love it if you'd subscribe to the channel and let a wide range of people enjoy it!

"Paprika"
Music, Lyrics & Produce _ Kenshi Yonezu
Twisting and turning, down this road we go
Running to the forest where we can play all day
The sun shines so brightly on our country town
Someone's always calling out your name
And when summer comes, see our shadows grow
Always know I will miss you so
Come on, look up, find the first star in the sky
I hope tomorrow will be sunny, too
Paprika, when our flowers start to bloom
Put the seeds into your hands and throw them in the sky
Paprika, we can make our dreams come alive
Rain or shine, we'll find a way to play again another day
It' s raining and pouring, the moon' s hiding away
I think I can hear someone crying in the shade
Don't worry I promise, there's no need to be afraid
Someone s always calling out your name
Come and count with me all the happy things
So much joy you always bring
Now it's time to go, l' ll see you tomorrow
Memories will light the way back home
Paprika, when our flowers start to bloom
Put the seeds into your hands and throw them in the sky
Paprika, we can make our dreams come alive
Rain or shine, we’ll find a way to play again another day
I will run to you
Through the forest where we played
Singing songs we made
And I will fill both hands with flowers along the way
La-di la-di-da
Through the forest where we played
Singing songs we made
And I will fill both hands with flowers along the way
La-di la-di-da
Paprika, when our flowers start to bloom
Put the seeds into your hands and throw them in the sky
Paprika, we can make our dreams come alive
Rain or shine, we’ll find a way to play again another day
Let’s all come together now, point our fingers to the sky
